I'm not saying I'm certain this is her cure, but I know since I gave her the gel, her leg has gotten at least 50 percent better. One of my last emu chicks of the season had a hard hatch, blood all over. She made it but as she started walking I saw a slight off gait and turn of her leg that progressively got worse. I thought I'd just let her live a little until it became painful..... Then put her down. One day while watching her leg bending in, I went and got some vitamin E & selenium gel I have for goats and my llamas etc. I gave her a dollop of the gel for three days. I slowly noticed an improvement. It's been two weeks and she almost seems normal. I notice it is still a little weaker but her gait has improved a lot. I'm not saying its a cure.... Time will tell, but if it helps anyone else, I thought it was worth mentioning. I also took her off starter and gave her layer.
I got it from Jeffers livestock. It is an orange gel that comes in a wormer type tube/syringe.

Her leg did seem to be doing much better, but unfortunately I lost her due to phenomia after cold wet weather..She seemed to have a weaker immune system.... such a shame. I do believe the vitamin E/Sel helped her alot. Her legs no longer bent funny and she could walk with an almost normal stride.
The other two emu chicks I kept are doing great, almost as tall as my yearling emu Pumba.
