Emu Egg Hatch-along

Pics
So so exciting!!!

@MGG So sorry you still haven’t seen movement! I wonder if the scale number moving is any indicator of a chick moving inside?
Thanks. I'm not sure, unless it's just adjusting the readings for some reason? Maybe the measurement is very close, I don't know. It would be great if it was, haha. I'd feel much better if it would just wiggle, haha.

Well call me confused. Of these two eggs set to hatch this weekend-ish, that I have had zero hope for have me really confused. Well one of them. It's day 45. The one that had the really big lean has started leveling out which is a sign of a chick preparing to hatch. It had a really big lean and when I took it out this morning I noticed it was fairly level which is very odd. I still haven't seen any wiggles, but it's weight loss is tracking spot on. I guess we'll see 🤷‍♀️

Wow cool! Do you have before/after pics?
I'm day 40 tomorrow. Still not really any hope either though. But like yours weight loss is still good and it's still leaning. Idk.
Keep us posted!

Hey @MGG, I followed an emu hatch along a while ago, and the OP put a .22 casing on top of her egg to watch for wiggles. Kinda weird, I know, but her point was that it's much easier to see the .22 casing move than the egg. I'm not sure if you have those lying around, but any tiny object you could balance on top of the egg would probably work too.
