Chickenzoo, didn't you say that Jazzy learned to walk on a lead/leash? How does that work? What does the leash go around?

You modify a dog harness that goes around the dogs shoulders, in Emu's it goes around legs then across the back.

It doesn't go around the wings like on a chicken or other bird?

I do it that way, cause it pulls from farther forward and closer to the one leading.

Oh wow, they swim?? How did I not know this..... Beautiful pics - keep em coming!! Sure makes me want one of my own, if I had the room, although there may be laws against keeping them here in Kauai. After all if they would get loose, I'm not sure people would love having a bunch of huge living dinosaurs running around the island, pecking at anything shiny.
