End of day 21, and nothing

The membrane is pretty dry, I'm going to assist.
As you start pulling/breaking the membrane away if you have blood stop! If no blood the chick likely absorbed the blood and is pretty much ready to go.
I just did it this morning. I tried assisting last night and was bleeding as I was cutting membrane. I stopped last night and when I started again this morning no more blood as I was “working” and chick is now with the others doing good.

First break away the shell and then I was using what was basically the tip of a pointy metal probe (thermometer) to gently tear the membrane. Slow and steady.
I am NOT a proponent for assisting but this one was not processing at all after pip and I pegged him for a goner. So far so good.

No blood, seems OK, but the other chick that hatched this morning is pecking it! I feel terrible! Why is it such a sassy already!

I'm afraid it's going to kill the new one, but there is another chick hatching and I don't want to lose the humidity, do I just trust that the old chick won't kill the new one? Ffs, these little ones are going to be the death of me

Once you have chicks zipping don’t open incubator if possible. They peck at each other that is perfectly normal. I try to pull the dry chicks out in between the hatching. If it’s only a pip that’s fine quickly raise the lid enough to get your hand in to grab the dry chick and close it back up. Repeat and repeat. I’ll usually leave the last one that just hatched in the incubator seeing how it’s likely still wet

Only 2 made it. The first one that hatched on its own and the one I helped. The other few did not make it out. Considering they pipped on day 24? I'm not shocked. They are in the brooder sleeping like drunk frat boys. The one I helped is definitely behind the other one, but bops around with her sibling. I dipped their beaks in water, but I'm not sure they are drinking on their own? Idk, I guess a few times a day I'll just dip them in the water. They peck at the food though.

If you’ve dipped their beaks and they are up moving around and pecking at the food, they are likely drinking too, just not when you see them. I wouldn’t bother with Extra beak dipping. Remember chicks can get shipped through the mail without food and water and do just fine! They use the last of the yolk that they absorbed for the first couple days.
