Hi everyone, my hen here I posted about in May is going to die soon I believe. She has stopped eating and drinking. She'll dip her beak and shake it off and seems to ponder food. She just looks at it and will walk off and stand or sit with her eyes closed. She's lost a lot of weight from this. She stopped laying last year and I think she has a reproductive problem and that's what is killing her. I've tried various things, worming and corid. Her comb is completely shriveled up and laid over now, it is heartbreaking. I am bringing her into the house today to give her constant support until she goes. Any words of wisdom I will take. I love her.

If your beloved hen is suffering with no hope of recovery, there is honor in ending her life quickly. I take it as my responsibility to have the strength to end needless suffering of the animals in my care. I don't enjoy it, but when it needs to be done, I don't hesitate.

I hope things work out for you whatever course you take with your hen. Best wishes.
