I took a hen to the vet for a respiratory infection (from which she recovered). The vet did an awesome physical exam, and because he had a student there, I sort of got to learn by proxy. Anyways, he was feeling her abdomen for an egg, and just squeezed it straight out of her into his hands. I swear she was like, “What the cluck?”

When I went to check out, I sat her in the floor and my wallet and an egg in the counter. The receptionist was like, is that an egg??? Lol yep. I just watched the vet squeeze it out of my chicken!

I have a Silkie that has repeatedly laid eggs in our gas firepit... she gets in between the logs and is pretty private... maybe the charcoal looks like eggs? Dunno. Always funny. In TX so have not turned on put yet in front of the hens.

Would love to see her reaction when she sees her little private spot in flames.

Your hen is just trying to (Cut out the middle man) for your breakfast?
