Ended :(

I'm sorry to say she had expired.

I couldn't find anyone with PolyViSol and believe it or not Walmart is a one hour drive for me. Unfortunately the order of events that transpired soon after making this post sealed the poor things fate. Not only did I have to work soon - but discovered one of my rabbits stone cold dead and a second one so close to death they stopped breathing until I gently shook their side. I had to run between both feeding little water droplets. I'm just so sorry I didn't see the vitamin E suggestion until now

I'm sorry guys - I failed. But... the rabbit I nursed is still alive.. now I need to figure out where to go to find out why I can't get him to eat or drink on his own again..

Crud, I'm sorry you lost her-sometimes you just can't save them. Good luck with the bunny, though.

Yea.. nooot the best day in the world. And to make it worse I found the surviving silky snuggled up next to the corpse of their fallen comrade. They just couldn't understand why I took them away and haven't stopped crying since. I feel the most bad for them and really really don't think I can find a replacement. Not to mention after all of this chaos I don't think I have the heart to face any more animals. Not this soon anyway.

Thank you all so much for trying by the way. She would have made it I think if not for the poorly timed chaos. But... fingers crossed for this rabbit. My manager didn't help. Remarking with a, "tragedies happen in threes" on our way out the door.

I really really wish I knew this was a risk... I would have had whatever I needed already shoved in my medicine cabinet... I never even /heard/ of this before now and when I saw her my first thought was, "oh lord she broke her neck".

Don't you dare feel bad-all you were trying to do was raise some baby fuzzy butts. You'll get some more when you're ready.

It is not anything one can expect. i have had my share of losses this year and have thought on more than one occasion to stop having chickens and fowl. But then the heartbreak eases and you miss those fuzzy butts. Chicken keeping is a forever learning experience, there is always something to learn, even to those that have kept all breeds. Don't beat yourself up. If it ever happens again you will be better prepared. Your little chick is friends with all those beloved chickies that passed before it, and is not alone.
