Englarged neck on duckling, graphic pics

I hatched 6 ducklings. Hatched April 13. This ones neck was huge. Read and thought it was a ruptured air sac but 3 of them have it. This one was th worst(largest). Said to make a slit at the base of the neck on its side and let the air out when I did it I found that there was no air coming out just huge clumps of chick feed that is the second picture it was over probably a third cup of food that I took out of its neck. Any ideas. Was gonna sew its neck back up. I used plenty of iodine to sterilize.

I think you just cut his crop open. That is where they store their feed before it is digested. The more they eat the larger it gets. It will go down overnight as the food digests. I dont know anything about sewing it back up or anything like that. I just know that is their crop for food storage.

Carefuly sewed her back up used pleanty of iodine. She is running around very boisterous

It was huge. I did two layers of stiched is up and around

Did you seriously just cut open this poor duckling's crop?
Please do NOT do this to the other two that have full crops.

Can you post clear pictures of the other two ducklings?
Also what exact food are you feeding?
Do they have access to a deep dish of water 24 hours a day?

Well since crops dont heal i cant forsee this bird living very long. Pekin ducks are meat ducks their crops are always full

Folks, please refrain from being rude. The OP seems to realize that a mistake was made, and has tried to remedy the situation. No need to pile on. Wishing a speedy recovery for this little one. If a vet is possible, that might be best.
