wow what an impressive job the DH is doing! I do love the little coop, but I think it is limited to a post-brooder, for when the babies start to go outside. Mine is way too small for m 6 girls right now, and look forward to the new coop

Six - wow! Yea, the ads are so misleading. Looks like yours has screen in the cute window - did that come that way or did you put it in? Is this in your yard? I have to laugh, all I wanted was free eggs! We will have to sell ours for $25 a dozen to recoup our money! LOL But I am blessed with a DH that is very crafty and loves doing it. I can't wait to post pictures when our new one is done! Not sure when that will be . . . a few weeks I would say.
Yes, it is in my yard, but we are building a bigger one. I knocked out the plastic on 2 of the panes and added hardware cloth for more ventilation, it doesn't have any except the door to the run. I have to let them out a couple times a day, because I feel kinda guilty having them crammed in it. They don't seem to mind, except when they jump off the ramp and land on each other. It's honestly the perfect coop for young , just out into the big bad world from the brooder, but the photos are deceiving, they must use bantams in the photo. I like it because I can keep track of them, and watch them closely to make sure they are healthy, etc. but space wise, they need more to build dust baths and stretch their wings, run etc. I also don't think they are strong enough for a new england winter.
