Enrichment

I am brand new to baby chicks! I have my 2 week olds still in the brooder but they're pecking the bottom like crazy. What kinds of things are safe to put in there for enrichment? Can I put in empty corn cobs? I give my chickens dried corn and I have the cobs available. I am taking them outside today for a while to play because it's going to be in the upper 80s.

They're starting to fly onto the top of the water and feed containers in the brooder. They seem so bored lol

Yep, we put our chicks outside at two weeks old too! You can give them a cut tomato in half, which they might be scared of first. But I think your idea about the corn is good!

Give them a little training perch to sit on, some bricks and blocks to jump up and down on, a upside down box with holes on each side to go under and sit on top of, etc.
