Long time reader but new member. Trying my hand at urban farming on our 0.17 acres in Central Reno. So far we have three muscovies, three ameraucanas, two American rabbits, two Texas A & M quail, two jumbo brown Coturnix quail, three cats and two toddlers. In a couple weeks we will be receiving a Cackle Hatchery Surprise and I am 75% elated and 25% terrified. I want to produce the food my family eats and defeat the inter mountain desert climate in which we live. I hope y'all will help me that
P.S. I asked my husband what we should call our mini farm, I was thinking Casa de Verde (since our house has a green stripe on it and our backyard neighbor is a nonprofit called Casa de Vida) and he said Junk Farm.
