work on lice?

I really need to do something about the lice on my chickens. I do not want to use Sevin or Pyrethrins if I don't have to.
I have tried DE doesn't seem to get rid of them. I think I waited to long... Probably better at preventing?

Anyhoo does pour on Eprinex work well on lice?

Thanks so much!

It works, but if you put on to much, you can kill the bird, if you use it be very careful, some have great luck with it.

Yes, that is the correct dosage. It is a cattle wormer, not necesarily marketed for poultry. I have easily doubled the recommended dosage with out adverse effects.

were do you put it. I did the back of the neck between the wings 4drops with a small needle placed on the skin.

I saw one place where they said you could not eat the eggs or use the meat from the hens that had eprinex put on them. Is this correct? Jean

It only works on sucking or biting lice, the chicken louse eats feather dander.......

The chicken louse is a biting(chewing) louse.

Eprinex seems to work awesome on anything feeding on the birds (not their feathers) inside and out. I have been using it on my backyard flock and I have not seem any bugs resurface thus far. The dosing that I have used is the same, I apply once and then a second time after two weeks to get any eggs that hatched. I would also clean your coop and spray with a light insecticide.
