I have a pair of Egyptians nesting right now on the 3 acre pond and the male ignores the canadas but he cannot stand the muscovy or domestic geese. I think it has to do with the fact that we had a pair of canadas nest here last year and that gander and our Egyptian gander seemed to have worked out a deal where they each monitored 1/2 of the lake but were both allowed to interlope on each others territory. The Egyptian gander would run off any domestics but the Canada gander would run off both domestics and any other Canada geese that flew in. What I am interested in seeing is if another pair of Canada geese nest this year will the same deal be brokered or will all heck break loose.
