ive had a few smaller bantys go missing lately, and egg production seems to be low...or i have a thief......i noticed today 3 ermines flitting through the field...small long ferrety type things..bright white with a black tail tip......ermines! i'd never seen one before in the flesh but there they are...in my field....!!

could these be the reason for my bantys numbers declining? and eggs missing? i have no idea what they eat....

ive set some traps around but dont know what they eat...i put eggs in the traps for now !

Yes, they can kill your chickens. I hope you get it sorted quickly!

An Ermine is a weasel in winter coat.

They love to kill and lap up the blood of chickens and other small animals.
