Escape from Akuto City ~RP~

Ventus clenched his head tighter and shut his eyes harder, as she got closer and closer. The closer he was to people like them, the more it hurt. And just his luck to wander into a place with four of them. Fantastic.

Rick was right after Iona, following her lead. As she ran, she pulled out the map, careful not to drop it.

Ari slowed and looked back to Bri then to Ventus again. She stopped and watched him a moment "Hey, kid. What's wrong?" She was thinking of going back in to wake her parents. She didn't know what was wrong, but it seemed to be getting worse the closer she came.

Ventus suddenly started receiving signals from three more people. Cringing, he sank down to his knees, holding his head, as it felt like it was about to burst. He could be around one, maybe two powerful magic users if he tried, but four was overwhelming. This was his curse; he would always know that there were people like him, but he could never be around them. He was all alone.

Maisie peeked out the window again. What on Earth – ? She tiptoed out of her room and opened Sean's door.

"Sean," she whispered, shaking his shoulder, "Wake up."

"Ommigudmayzeelemeesleep."

"Oh, shut up and wake up. Take a look outside my window."

Sean groaned and got up, "Do I have to go anywhere besides there?"

"Possibly."

"Then let me put on proper pants. I'll be there in a moment."

He entered her room a bit more than a moment later, but he did enter, and he did look. "Something's wrong with him."

"Duh. So let's check it out."

"We should get Dad." Sean turned to the door, but Maisie grabbed his arm.

"We can take care of ourselves, yes? Come on." She tugged him along. I'm going to really regret this, he thought.

((Gertrude/Starr...))

Maisie tried to lead the way, but Sean pushed her behind him, muttering something. She couldn't quite catch the words, but thought they included, "not letting my little sister get herself killed on my watch".

"Are you all right?" he asked.

Tessa hurriedly followed behind, eager to get away from here. Sure, she didn't see any immediate danger, but she still had uneasy feelings, and it was better safe than sorry. She shifted her pack on her shoulder, her long strides easily helping her keep up with everyone.

Ari looked to Maise and Sean as they came out and over to them. She returned her gaze to Ventus and frowned then looked to the siblings again "I don't know what's wrong with him, but it seems to get worse the closer we get"

Iona's heart beat fast, where were they? She looked all directions. nope. Memories of the past came flooding back and tears stung her eyes. She could hear the drumroll of the rain in the distance, but a high pitched ringing filled her ears. She ignored it looked to see that not 1, but 3 people had followed her. The more the merrier......Iona started to tap her foot and waited for the others to catch up before she took off again down the road, "lets get out of here, then look at the map!" she yelled over her shoulder, her feet pounding against the sidewalk to a natural rhythm.

Ventus trembled with the pain, as if his head was trying to both explode and implode at the same time. "P-please... st-stop it. Stop." he managed out. The pain... he hadn't ever experienced anything as strong as this. Why did he have to be cursed like this? He could never be around people like himself. Unless...

Rick nodded her agreement and put the map back. She was right next to Iona, footsteps almost matching perfectly to hers.

Rose hurriedly followed, trying to transmit a message to her bosses.

"we should go down into the'commoners area'." she said. It was where she had been hiding for almost a couple weeks. "we might have a chance to look at the map there." her blue eyes stung with tears, she kept trying to push those memories down. But tears flooded down her cheeks.

Ari bit her lip and watched him then her neighbors before turning to go back to her twin near her house. If being close was somehow hurting him, then reason said to move back. She stopped and turned to look at him again once she reached Bri
