Escargot.

I would like to try it. Mostly, when I see snails, I give them to the killdeers or other shorebirds if they're around. Or, I give them to the muscovy duck at the lake. They seem to like them, so why not me?

I liked escargot until I watched ones I had eaten bounce off a parking lot surface one night after too much red wine.

Don't do red wine anymore, either.

But I used to like escargot.

A friend of mine used to have cichlids (acquarium fish). If you've never been around them, they love to hide in snail shells. My friend went to the local seafood supply store and bought a box of snail shells. Apparently restaurants buy cans of deshelled snails and stuff them back into snail shells to sell as escargot.
