I just found Estes hatchery (well, re-found, but never used before) on the list of hatcheries in the chick forum and to my joy it looks like they sell Anconas, which I've been trying and trying to figure out how to get some. I was wondering if other people had ordered Anconas, or other ducklings from Estes, and what their experience has been with them and what the quality of their birds has been. I know that these Anconas probably won't have the best show-type lines and color variety, but if they're healthy and decent-quality I think I'd probably like to give them a try. But I wanted to check with my BYC peeps first and get some feedback about the Estes ducklings you've gotten from them. [IMG] Thanks!

I haven't looked at that hatchery... but just be aware there are Anacona Chickens too.

I have never heard of them and don't know anything about that hatchery, sorry!
But if you are looking for Ancona ducklings specifically, there are a few hatcheries I've heard great things about. Boondockers and Cackle both sell Anconas.
I would also check with AuroraSprings here on BYC. She has many different colored anconas and I'm pretty sure she sells and can ship ducklings :)
I have some ducklings coming in April, but I am thinking about getting some from her before the end of summer.

Where are you located? I have some of my own Anconas due to hatch next week and the week after that I will be selling.

learycow, thank you! Sorry, I haven't been on BYC for a few days so I didn't see your post until now. Thank you very much for the recommendations! I'm in MN, so a little ways away from you unfortunately.... :) But thank you for the offer!
