Euskal Oiloa ( Basque Thread)

Meg..that's really good...great money and they all seem to love their work..My stepdaughter is a Vet-Tech and my daughter is a Nurse Practioner...I keep telling my daughter that the small town she has her practice in, not only expects her to be the Dr. there..but also the Vet....so she needs some Chickens!!....... She will learn................

This girl is clueless too. I think it might mean we have no style......

Those babies are adorable! I hope I get to see one of mine go broody!

My Basque chicks came down with cocci on Friday. Only one showed symptoms (very poofy.) I put Corid in their water and everyone is fine now! Thanks to everyone's advice, I had it on hand!

I went to the ranch today to see my big chickens and guess what I found?? Our first egg!! I don't know if it was laid by our Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks or our Basques but dang it's adorable!

Congrats on the egg! I know how exciting it is to get the first one! :)

Ooh! Flat Rock... My sis in law knows a great knock off store in New York.... Maybe I should come to visit and we could have our own road trip!

Lol you guys are funny! They're from a flea market in Portugal. They supposedly fell off the truck... ;-)

Got some pics of my older group today. No eggs but I had fun watching them forage and bathe!

Meg, glad for your sense of humor. No harm meant. Those chickens look like they are having a good time? Hope you are able to spend more time with them being they aren't in your backyard. How is johnny doing?
