Hi Skylinepoultry!

I'm glad to hear about Euskal Oiloak because I'm basque ( living 10 km from Bilbao). I had Marraduna but now I have only 2 Marraduna and also Leposoila (with nude neck), Beltza (Black), Zilarra(ermine) and Gorria (Red).
This atlantic breed has an excellent health, good size, with a lot of production of eggs and also meat proposal.

Wow! This is great. Welcome to the thread Sebastopol. Any information or pics about the Basque would be greatly appreciated on this thread.

Thank you for the welcome. Today it's my first day on this forum. I came after a search looking for an english geese forum and I found an american and great forum of geese and many more.

I have to make pics of my chicken. I think that the best Euskal Oiloa I have is a pair of Leposoila. They're still little but seem really good.

By the while, If you want I can show images of Euskal Oiloak. (The name is Euskal Oiloa, but sometimes I say Euskal Oiloak, it's only the name in plural)

And other thing, sorry for my English:lol:

Sebastopal, you have no idea have valuable those pics are that you have posted. We are trying to get the Euskal Oiloak estabished in North America and educate others and ourselves with this breed. Id have to guess and say that 99.9% of the people in the States have never even heard of Euskal Oiloak. I can't speak for others but myself have come to a dead end with limited information about the Euskal Oiloak. Claire (skeffling lavender farm) has really worked hard on translating and reseaching material to educate others. She has been a blessing. She has started a forum dedicate to this breed so we can all join together to let this breed thrive here. You are proof that the breed is real and any information and pics would be priceless from you to dedicate to us to continue our quest to have this wonderful loving productive breed grow here. This is just the beginning of something great! Again, welcome.
Hey heritage looks like we found some pics!

I'm glad to be helpful. Those pics are not mine, were taken from members of an spanish forum. Later I'll post more images of E.O., and I'll show you my Euskal too.
Besides I'm a member of Euskal Oiloa club and will go the next November 4th to the E.O. Show and I'll post a lot of pics of this breed.

Sebastopal, can you spread the word over there about us establishing the Euskal Oiloak in North America. Any links between us and other sites, forums, and clubs over there would be extremely helpful to us. This way we can work together on keeping a standard of this wonderful breed over here. Don't want to sound pushy or put presure on you but this is very exciting. Can't wait to see more pics! I only have Marradunas right now but would love to have all breeds of the Euskal Oiloak in time.
