Ok, I have a 17 week old EO that was confusing to people when I asked if it was a girl or boy. Can you guys tell me what you think. Here's pictures. Boy or girl?

So I think she's a girl, but the comb seems big for 17 weeks. Maybe she's going to be an early layer? Let me know what you think. Roo or pullet?

Do you know what the parents of this bird looked like? I have trouble seeing an EO here. The type is just off. do you have any hatchmates to this one?

I got her from a lady that breeds many different birds. Some of her birds are pretty rare (Swedish flower hens). I got a selection from her (BLRW,SFH,Cochins, brahma, Americana, silkie). She never promised any show quality birds. But I'm pretty sure she was careful about not interbreeding types. I can't breed either. I'm not allowed to have a rooster. Every other chicken that we got from her has been pretty great. Out BLRW is gorgeous and the bantam Cochins are the sweetest things.
Our basque is our biggest bird. She is fast and independent. Her temperament is a little aggressive, but not to bad.

So do you think she's not a basque? What do you think she looks like? I'm totally new to chickens and just going off what she said.

This lady that I bought her from didn't have EE. She only had the more established varieties.

I don't know what it is...

I see a male, with barring, but without any columbian or black in the wings and tail...

Which makes me wonder, how did the columbian and the black get left out ?

I think cockerel. Tail feathers look male to me, comb is pretty red, and hard to really see on my screen, but are there saddle feathers? Also would double check with breeder, not sure if I have seen any e.o/basque with that coloring...

I don't think it is pure either. Poses alot like a Yokohoma (sp?) I don't see any EO in there.

It looks like the saddle is full of fluffy rounded saddle feathers (hen) but with some sharper/finer saddle feathers (cock) starting to peek out from under the wing. Those curving tail feathers look male to me as well--- unless there is Yokohoma blood in there. Very hard to tell even in close up (blurry) though.
