I think you could use the roosters for a sex-link cross over silver hens, I am considering doing this with a cream legbar roo over Delawares - should produce a crested hen that lays green eggs

Delawares are genetically silver, and can be used in red sex-link crosses - Gold male over Delaware female produces males with the Delaware pattern and females that are red. I have heard that the down difference is subtle, though.
