Euskal Oiloa ( Basque Thread)

Wonderful looking little fellow!

That is rich coloring on him - would love for you to post pics every 4 weeks or so...

Love those big shanks and long body, too!

Will do! Thank you for the compliments! If you want a sibling, go Ms. Fluffy Puffy's way :)

Yes Aspen!

Very nice chick.

Fun! Glad you like her. She is a darling 'lil thing.

Next week I'm going to work on my incubator. Last time I tried to fire it up it when bonkers and spiked all over the place. It's NEVER done that. Grr. Then the next step is to get the girls to lay again. Mmmm

Quote: She is another one, like my Rooster Seiji that jumps onto my hand, walks up my arm and stands on my shoulder. She is very friendly. I also love the pattern she has with the black spots. The other two chicks in the picture are Trader Joes Leghorns that hatched as her companions.

Bye,

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy and others, does that mean the basque hens pretty much stop laying during shorter daylight hours? Thanks.

I have three pullets and there were 2 eggs in the nest box today.
