Hey Chicken Girl...Where in Wisconsin are you? My DD and I went through there when I took her to the Mall of America. She went nuts over the landscape! We went to the Dells and spent the last night of our trip in a log cabin. It was the bomb. Had my very first smore there too.

DD couldn't believe I hadn't had one yet!

I am in my teens but the cold still makes my bones hert. I dont know when i had my first smore lol. And i was born in CA but we moved here when i was 6-7 years old. I love the forests out here. But this year my dad said he does not whant to hunt. So i will not be going in the woods.

I must be hungry........

I can tell my appetite is coming back. Mexican for lunch and then the pie. At 5 we will head to the stadium for tailgating and more food! And I don't know why, but when I go to a football game, I want a hot dog! Every road game I have to test them out! I am not opposed to hot dogs, but never really crave one until football games! I know, weird. And popcorn. My sister and I get a bag for Mom and one for us and then we fight over it the whole time we are eating it! Good times!

Wow! What happened to everyone? We got our butts kicked at the game last night! And to top it off, we have more injured players. We already had our quarterback, running back and receiver injured and had to start back ups. Last night another receiver hurt his ankle right off the bat and they had to take our other running back to the hospital with a shoulder injury.

We are not going to get a break this year! It was so cold and I kid you not, right before the game there were tiny snowflakes floating in the air!

chickenchick--How is your son doing? Update please! Hope you are enjoying your centennial this weekend!

NY--Are you having a well deserved relaxing weekend? Here's to hoping next week is so much better!

charmed--How did the garage sale go? I am sorry I wasn't on last night to talk to you. After the game I was so cold, tired and disappointed I just wanted to go home! I didn't even come to the station to help with scores.

I just wanted to check in and say Good morning!!

DH just left with the car for the Car Show. He is taking it in early to wash it up and "stuff". Kind of a last minute thing as he didn't really know until yesterday afternoon if he was going to have today off. Then to top it off he worked until 9 last night. I am going to take my time this morning, drink some coffee and check in with you!

Then when DS gets up we will head to town and spend the day with the In-laws. They are babysitting 2 of our nephews this weekend. DS just loves those little boys

They are 7 and 9.

Thanks for asking about DS Michelle. I don't agree with his decision, but I didn't say anything, it seems to make him feel better, so.... He says she explained again yesterday and cried about how sorry she was. Then she brought up about how she cut herself the last time she was dumped!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the? This girl is 14! So he has decided she is being honest and she is still his girlfriend!

So what do you think? This is what I THINK I might do but if you all think differnt PLEASE say so. I have decided I will just keep quiet and let it go. I don't want to see him hurt again, but is it my place to interfere, yet or at all? I did voice my opinion a little but was careful not to insult her or his choices.

She called last night to tell him she was at the Centennial Dance. He didn't even know about it. She didn't ask him to come or anything, just told him where she was!

I am looking forward to spending the day with him and I sincerely hope we do not run in to her.

Teenage boys will do stupid stuff. I am learning that quickly! I thought I had Colton in check right up until he got his license. I have resigned to the fact that child is going to worry me to death about everything! He has found his wings and he is going to fly and he is going to/has made stupid decisions also. So, you are definitely not alone!
hugs.gif

As for the "stupid" decision he has made, I agree with your plan. You really have to just let it go as far as I can see. As long as you gently voiced your opinion, that is about all you can do without pushing him away. Keep him busy and maybe point out any cute/nice girls you come across and try to gently change his mind.

Have fun at the car show and other activities! I love that kind of stuff! I think I am going to go home, put on a pot of chili, put on my pajamas, do as little housework as I can get away with and spend the day watching some college football! Tomorrow we are going to my sister's house so hubby can do some work for her and she is going to fix us dinner!

It's okay about the game, the other team is ranked 8th in the state, so we didn't have a chance anyway. I was just disappointed with injuries and a few choices made.

Have a great weekend!

cleaned coops-integrated some girls...household garbage etc... thats to bad about all the boys getting hurt so much:-( Im still in my jammies! I always stay i jammies until I feel like not cleaning anymore-my Hubbie does work for my sister too-and she always makes dinner for us-usually chicken-she is 95 lbs and eats so very healthy its not funny-even when she has guests.she cooks healthy-I m always like-"where's the salt please "wheres the hellmanns" Where's the real salad dressing? ahh why do you always cook chicken! "where's the beef!!! lol...it is always fat free-lite- or half the fat stuff-I love her dearly and she can cook a storm up but...sometimes I want fatty things!

teenage boys can rot! remember that "boy" my DD was "dating" a few weeks ago? well thats over cause my DD thought he was annoying-in turn he still came over to help my FIL and don't you he hookd up with a 7th grader and gets caught makingout with this hoochie on my property! that girl is no longer allowed to come out here-she just..just turned 12!!!! He got his butt chewed out-

Chickenchick-his GF sounds like a brat! What a gamer. I would stay quiet like you said for a little bit-but if she keeps her crap up?? I would talk to her and see why shes doing the dumb things she's doing and ask her How do think it would feel if he did that to you--Ive used that one alot and that one sems to work..I try and stay out of it as much as possible but we are moms--its in our blood to worry and protect the young inexperienced poor sould:) your doing fine-Im sure your son will stay with open communication as long as he feels there isnt to much intrusion??

Hello everyone! Well the garage sale was a success. Even without putting it in the paper with just signs around town we have had alot of traffic. Got rid of alot of stuff! I'm still sitting here thinking about closing up at 5pm.

I can't give very good advice about boy problems but it sounds like you've got a good rappore (spelling) with him. You have to let them make their own mistakes. They will learn quickly what works for them. Just know you raised him right and love him alot and I think the rest will follow. These might be lessons for him to learn early in life to get him through his adulthood. Don' t I sound smart!! Seriously...You are doing the right thing. Just follow your heart with him and everything will be OK..I'm going home tonight so I will not talk to you til monday. Everyone have a great weekend.
Sorry about the football game. I hope the boys are Ok.

Good chilly Monday Morning!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Mine was pretty quiet. Did a little housework and watched a whole lotta football! Spent most of the weekend in my pajamas except when I had to go to my sister's yesterday for a while!

Tonight we head down to Lexington for a junior varsity game. I am sure we will get our butts kicked again, but that's alright, at least we will be there to cheer them on!

chickenchick-- How is your son doing? You apparently jinxed me with teen boy problems. Thanks.
barnie.gif
I will tell you guys all about it when I have time later this morning.
