Good Morning! How is everyone today? I would like to announce that I am the proud owner of a new Z101.7fm Hot Country sticker for my truck!

Yes Michelle..You guessed it. I got the tics in the mail Sat when I got home from the garage sale!

On the front of the envelope someone had wrote "wrong box". The goofy mailman put my tics in the wrong box! Why couldn't he do that with the bills or something?!! Anyway, I got them and my DD and I are really looking forward to going this Sat!!! Today is her Bday I will give her some spending $$ to take to the Ren fest and have some fun! I am really excited cuz she has never been and it's always more fun with a newbie!!! Thanks again for the tics, Michelle. You ROCK!!!! BTW...What has your DS done? I hope everything is Ok. Between you and chickenchick you ought to be able to solve all of the teen boy problems. You two should write a book!

Ny..How was dinner at your sister's? Did she fix something good? We had some oxtail soup yesterday that really hit the spot! I love it that we can cook some casseroles and soups now that the weather is cooler. Hot soup, big quilts to wrap up in...I love cozy!!!

Chickenchick-hows the DS?

I am home sick...bleah--started doing winterizing things yesterday and such-Im am dreading winter this year. The bills are mounting and with heading into the off season for real estate AND contracting-we always worry-IDK how we get through it but we do-I dont know how we havent lost the house or a car sometimes-its feast or famine in that job market-when its feast-we pay off as much as we can before famine-when its famine we rack up a butt load of CC bills and such to get by-then the dang cycle starts all over again! Im prayin come Sprig the rental of that cabin really takes off and we can actually pay off bills and close accounts before winter! Anybody else go through this?? Or am I the only one at 38 wirth financial woes? Does it ever stop? Oh both my DDs want Ipod touches for their Bdays in Nov 3 days apart!

Colton and I winterized all but the chickens on Saturday. We intended it to be an all day job, but slacked off until the news right before 7 said we might get frost. So, we hurried out and took care of everyone, but need to clean the coop before adding new, so they will have to wait another week. We did put some clean in there, but not totally winterized yet.

Still sick? My ears are still a little sensitive, but much better. Both children weren't feeling good Saturday, so I medicated them and kept them "quiet" and they are feeling better also. Colton would rather die than miss a game, and as far as that goes, so would Destiny! lol I do hope you get over it soon!

I am not playing favors with charmed, so if you would like to come down here and go to Renfest, I would give you some tickets too! Send me your address and I will send you a handy dandy state of the art window cling with our radio station call letters on it! We really enjoyed it, so if the weather holds out, I am sure her and her daughter will have a great time!!

If I only had $ to fly down there/over there I would be there yesterday to go with you guys! No favorite thinking here LOL...Im not like that-usually hahaha...Yeah still sick-the last two weeks its been my DD's battling it now it started w/ me on Friday just totally stuffed. I could have gone to work today to help everyone but being in a surgical mask on and off all day with this runny nose and sneezing no way! Plus I cant afford to get my staff sick even though half of them have been sick too!!!. Im going tomorrow-I just needed another day to not be near people! This cough rots too and being a smoker welll... you know how it is--I pay almost 8$ a pack what about you Marlb light 100's??

I will try to be quick with the story about my son.

He likes a girl named Clorissa and has hung out with her some, but she has a boyfriend named Sam. Clorissa told Colton on Friday she was going to leave Sam because she liked him better. Well, homecoming dance Sat. night Clorissa is there with Sam and Colton's little heart was broken. (although he wasn't there). He texted her back and forth that night and yesterday (not sure what all was said). He told me last night he texted her last that he just wanted to know what was going on. So, this morning hubby calls me on the way to work telling me Colton says he is going to kill Sam. (he really doesn't mean it, but I wouldn't rule a fight out either). Apparently Clorissa told Colton that Sam told her he would kill her if she left him, so she is afraid to leave the relationship. Poor hubby, not used to this HS drama so he freaks out. He calls the Ag teacher (which Colton is really close to) and explained the situation to her and she is going to alert the office and have a talk with Colton. I asked hubby if there was a chance this little girl made this up and that thought never occurred to him! Not saying she is a liar, but it is possible. If she is telling the truth, something also needs to be done. I talked to Colton a few minutes ago and he says he is doing fine, but I didn't ask any questions.

He also told me that the star running back of the team came to the dance drunk, got 5 days OSS and kicked off the team!

Oh man! I remember that HS drama way to well--no killing threats from me or the 2 guys I dated ( 2 yrs for one guy and last 2 years in HS with another)-never. But witnessed many who did-I have a feeling that "Sam" might have said that he would Kill her in a joking manor and she made it seem like it was way worse to play with Colton's head. Now ask Colton this-no matter how much you like this girl-is this the girl you want to give your heart to? A girl who is texting another guy behind her BF's back-a girl who is at a dance w another guy but communicating with another guy? Playing mind games to see who she likes best? Hopefully he would say Dang I never thought about it like that--Im way better than that! and her! He ( Sam) can have her and her drama! Now mind you she may very well be a "nice" girl but she is playing head games on Colton's dime...you know Im a very protective parent can you tell? LOL

Good Grief NY! $8 dollars for a pack of cigs?!! I don't think I could pay that. Wow..I pay about $4.30 ish for a pack of Doral ultralight 100's. How much is a carton?

Everyone lives paycheck to paycheck these days. You have to decide who gets paid and who gets to wait a week....or two! My DH had his own business and had to sell out and go to work for someone else. But he is getting a regular paycheck now and it has really been nice. Now we have to play "catch up!"

Michelle..I agree with NY about Colton. This girl is playing Colton for all it's worth. He needs to dump her like a hot rock and maybe she'll start wondering what she's missing. He can play hard to get for while.

Where is chickenchick today? Anyone heard from her?

Catch up is the name of the game. 4 years ago when all was going great financially-we were all caught up and totally could afford our 600$ mortgage and cars/ trucks/ boats etc... living nice for a few years. The DH jumped on this house and property. It is gorgeous and the kids are better off here than in town but this is the Money pit if I ever saw one-the mortgage is more than 4 times than the last ( which we haven't sold yet!-it is rented and paying for itself!) the rest of the untilities that go with this house is huge! The 8$ a pack times 2 packs a day between Dh and I suck! A carton is 74$ right?? I know. we need to quit fast!
