They finally came and got him for the x-ray and I got cleaned up a bit and changed my clothes. (Kelly got to see me at my best

) Des is down at the coffee shop to bring up a carmelicious and a candy bar latte to jump start us. Hubby went to check on Lindsey's parents down in the ICU waiting room. Mom and Keith are back and brought breakfast. The driver (Stephanie's) Dad came to check on the kids yesterday. Lindsey's parents and us all missed him coming and going in the halls, but I thought it was nice that he took the time considering his daughter is an hour away or so (is that about right Kelly? I am just guessing). Des asked how she is and all he said was good.

I appreciate each and every one of you and know we could have a heck of a chicken stock here at the hospital, but you all really are here with us and we are grateful for that.

I am glad you all got to get together! I will make it out one of your ways sometime, really! That or you guys can gulp and drive the big bad city roads sometime!

Even though a broken collarbone is no fun, at least it will be a "known" instead of an "unknown" and is something manageable medically. I guess that's a positive in all of this. I hope that Colton gets to go home today.

They weren't very nice to me, everyone knew but me. I was so shocked!!

We hugged and then just started chatting like the old friends we are! Colton comes back from his test and whispers "Mom, who the heck is that?" I said "Don't worry about it son, just go back to sleep!"

He slept good again last night, but he is on oxycotin, morphine, muscle relaxers and a pain patch. He did eat breakfast, so I was glad he finally got something down.

Oh, gotta show you guys what I got this weekend off Craigslist! No one else in the world is going to be interested (ha ha!) They started "artwork" on the other side, too, but only got the body shape painted.

Obviously, I'll need to do some work on the doors. I've got two choices. I can move them back up to where the hinges were originally, then put a board across the bottom (painted, of course) to cover the gap OR I can make new doors. I'm leaning toward the first but I need some plywood and that won't happen until this weekend. I'm sure I can find SOME color of semi-gloss paint in my stash that will work, though. If nothing else I have a blue and a pink. I will probably paint the inside while at it, too.

I am actually thinking of making a second story to go under it. I could just measure this one and copy it except give it a flat roof, then set this one right on top of the other one. Heck, I could go three stories if I braced them on the back with a board. These will fit into a spot I have in my garage. They are not huge but each should hold some boy quails as I separate them off from the girls! Plus, the way it's made I can put a divider in the middle really easily and keep birds separated from each other really easily if I have two that need their own personal quarters temporarily.
