Yup, I was saving that! I am really pleased to see that she is sitting up and doing as well as she is. When you said she'd had bones in her face crushed, well, let's just say that my mental picture was substantially different. I would imagine that this accident will be a mental trauma for her (and the other kids) for life. It may end up changing her perspectives on what is important in life some, too. I've seen students go through crazy things. Sometimes they come out a different person.

With all the love that this near death experience is digging up, I'm afraid they are gonna want to get married!

Speaking of which, one of the young coturnix started crowing today. He's 5 weeks old. They say they are mature at 6 weeks and will lay eggs by 8 weeks (well the girls anyway, ROFL).

OMG that's what I've been afraid of...or rather, that it would drive them into each others arms (or that he'd be afraid to end it later if need be because of all of this.)

As for the cats, it's a good thing you went and got the food. You might have been on the menu otherwise.

It was pretty scary there for a while. I just kept apologizing to them, but they didn't understand quite as well as I hoped they would! All was well about 11pm when I pulled in carrying 2 bags for them and gave them extra for not attacking me!
