Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

I had no idea how to make potato soup. One day a few years ago I had nothing to cook for supper! I started concocting something! It turned out to be potato soup! I tweaked it a little each time I made it. Finally I wrote it down. Here it is!

6 slices raw bacon
1 large onion (chopped)
2 cups milk (I Tried canned once and it curdles)
2 cups chicken broth
6 large potatoes
1/4 cup margarine
instant potatoes or left over mashed
salt,pepper, garlic to taste

I do mine in my slow cooker. Fry bacon and onion in bottom of slow cooker or on stove. Just until onions and bacon are tender. You can just toss them in without this step too. Add milk and chicken broth, margarine and spices. Add potatoes and simmer until potatoes are tender. On low mine takes a few hours. My husband likes his soup very thick so I add mashed potatoes flakes(today it is leftover homemade mashed potatoes!) until I get the desired consistency. I do this after it is totally cooked then let it heat back up.

I hope this makes sense! Any questions, just ask!

I did see those. There were a lot of neat things down there, I just wasn't in the mood to spend at the time. I figured with it being so shaded it would be really muddy. I can imagine how the girls in the dresses felt since they were hanging out!

I had potato soup the other day when I wasn't feeling well. It really hit the spot. I made beef and noodles yesterday. My mom makes the best vegetable soup, so I put in my order for her to make and freeze to send over to me. She does such a good job, I don't even try it myself! She also makes and freezes my noodles for me!

I was thinking about you all this weekend. My grandson, who is 12 is in some trouble. My DD has been missing cigs and $$. His other granny thinks he has been smoking wacky tobaccie!

Traci was having to go through his room today and see if she could find the $$ and/or anything else. He doesn't see his father, who is a deadbeat living in another state. I was thinking about your boy troubles. I think Traci's are just starting!

Colton and I both already had our own dogs, Destiny had lost hers about 6 months before Thunder came along, so every intention was for him to be hers. Well, not that he doesn't like her, but he has really gotten attached to me and hubby. He doesn't like Colton at all! Hubby is not really as into the animals as we are (so he says) but he does have a soft spot for Thunder (but won't admit it). He also says he hates cats, but he has his own little "princess" Oliver in the garage who can do no wrong in his eyes! He is also the reason we have guineas. He really enjoys the chickens and LOVES Nester the goose. But to hear him tell the story, they are all MY fault!

Now, go out and get her a John Deere bandana and matching collar and leash and she will be styling! I could send you a Mizzou one too! And make sure you get her a nice comfy bed. Fuzzy blanket on the bottom, thermal blanket next, then a small quilt (all folded percisely) and then take another fuzzy one and just kinda bunch it up for her to cuddle with. Be sure to wash them once a week (no other set will do and leave bottom fuzzy one just in case she needs a nap while waiting). Also buy her every snack imaginable and let her go on car rides and she will never miss her old family!!

Oh my! And 12 is such a young age to start! I hope she gets it straightened out soon. The sooner the better!

Wacky Tobaccy!

This cracked me up! My Dad used to call it that. I had never heard anyone else refer to it that way! It does sound like trouble is brewing. I sincerely hope she can get a handle on it now, in the beginning.

My dear wonderful hubby blames them ALL on me too. However he is the one who checks the pet section of CL every day! So Mocha is his fault!

He will deny this to the end but he sits on the couch with our (one of 4 inside cats!) Sophie kitty telling her beautiful she is! You are so pretty, the beautifulest kitty ever!!

My DH is a big manly man and that is what makes it even sweeter!

I already told DH I was going to buy her a stylin new sparkly collar and leash!!

A Mizzou bandanna would just finish off the ensemble perfectly!! Now on that bed, are those hospital corners?

I was trying to find a nicer way to say what i meant!! She'll get a handle on it, I'm sure. She was a TERROR!!! when she was young and she turned out great! She doesn't let too much get by her cause she has literally been there

Michelle, your vision of a dog bed sounds more comfortable than my bed!!!
( Except for the leash, of course!)

I grew up with those dogs!!! I love pointers! We had "Wiley" "Chesley" and "Trudee" loved them all-they all lived to be around 16 and awesome!
