OK Here's what I got yesterday. Yes, you can laugh. Doesn't look like much, but I'm hoping it'll be better when I'm through.

Now, once the fabric & foam was removed, we have:

My son is in the process of taking the seat off the bench now. It's not as easy as it sounds. That paint is making it dang near impossible to get the screws out. He's got 3 down on top, but they added yet another hinge inside & it has two more.

When it's done, I'm going to build a different lid for it using furring & hardware wire. This will then be able to be used as a brooder for babies. The bottom will not last forever, but it should do for a while before having to be replaced.

Good morning. With the time change, I'm waking up at 7:30. The dog usually wakes me at 8:30, but I can't seem to explain the time change to her.

Good Morning! The time change bounced me out of bed early yesterday, but I got straightened out this morning and was back to my usual late self!

Something has really messed up my sleeping. I go to bed before 10. Wake up about 2. Stay up til 3:30. Then get up at 6:30 ish. I barely get home before dark too. That is what I hate!! But I love McRibs! Hehehehehe!

Lid to the bench is off & strips of wood are cut to make it a new lid.

Hope the little babies appreciate all this. ROFL. Has the double advantage that I could house 1-2 in it for a longer period of time if need be, or could use it as button quail housing permanently when not in use for a brooder.
