Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

You are all so sweet, and chatty I might add! Sorry to worry anybody but have to say it gives me warm fuzzies that you notice. I have just been having one of those mornings, last night was a little bitter sweet and had hubby and I thinking and talking a bit over coffee. The coach had some very nice things to say about Raymond and I have some pics to share. Being upset makes me want to clean so my kitchen was spotless by 9 AM! Anyone need their house cleaned!

Off to get caught up on, what 4 pages

Nat I am sending peaceful thoughts your way. I can't imagine the stress you are under right now. I had a jack*** of a boss tell 25 of us just before a 3 week Christmas break that over half of us would not have a job in Jan when it was time to come back but he would not tell us who until then. I had worked there previously but had just been rehired, so I was terrified. Here it was a week before Christmas, I was a single Mom and he couldn't tell me whether I needed to look for a job and not buy my child C presents. I was sick with worry, I was also friends with his wife, so I called her and she made him tell me. He let me keep my job. I still don't like him much.....

Robin here is something for you...

Kenny just found me a treasure in the old iron pile on the hill. It is an old iron tractor tire, back before the had rubber on them. The tread was actually part of the iron. He said it is probably over 100 years old. He dug it out using the tractor then drug it over to the house. It will be a planter in the Spring

You have to remember that with a population of a couple of million in the surrounding area, I have more opportunity to find weird or useful things at a discount. I know the locations of at least a dozen thrift shops. I have never gone looking for a single one. These are all places that I have found just driving around town. I also have the "best" estate sale company in the area on FB & bookmarked. They have 66% off all estate sale prices for the final few hours of the sale. That's when I go. Plus, from the minute it starts to warm up in the spring until sometime in October I can find 50-100 yard sales just driving up and down nearby streets. Now, I just need to locate the local auction houses.

Now, I don't go do all that stuff all the time. No time & no $ for it!

This bench took "vision." It was ugly as sin with that spiderman fabric stapled to it & bare foam, plus the streaky blue paint.

Here is what it looks like now:

(Oh, and if you're talking about the other one with the chicken on the side...I had to drive almost 75 minutes away to go get that one, LMAO)

I love treasures like this.

When I first moved to Midville with my DH I would go onto the farm and explore the "trash dump" we have. I found so much fun stuff. DH couldn't believe how I would make Candle holders out of old elements I found.

Ya for Kenny having a good eye.

Almost missed this one with the page change! That is a good treasure. Even before I got to the part about a planter, I was envisioning it in a flower garden or herb garden. I have a small heavy wheel from something that I have used that way before. I actually brought it with me when I moved.

Note to self: I want my old tire planters from my old place...

Now, how to move them....

I remember going to the local dump when I was really small, before things were done like they are now with our modern landfills. We took all kinds of strange things home with us. The people at the dump tended to toss the things that were salvage capable off to the side, so that's where we looked. Can you imagine doing that now? Eww.
