Here is the recipe Robin. You and Mom should make up a batch tomorrow.

6c stewed or baked pumpkin
1c brown suger
1/2c sugar
1 ts allspice
1 ts ginger
1 ts cloves
1 ts nutmeg
2 ts cinnamon

Mix it all together and let it stew all day until the water is cooked off. We put our baked pumpkin through the Sauce Master, so no blending was required during or after cooking. We stewed ours in the crockpot with a screen over it rather than a lid.

* Robin I cut my pumpkin in half and baked it in the oven first. I stirred it enough while it was in the crock pot that I didn't have to blend it.

Wow, I think I can handle this. I just remember my uncle blowing eggs, and his face would get all red and he would get dizzy after about 5 eggs. So I thought you still blew them that way.

They even make egg blowers that you can buy .. lol. I blew a few "the old way" ..

I bought a few of those. Used one so much I wore it out and had to get a few more. I have over 100 blown eggs waiting for me to get back in the mood of decorating them again. I did sell about 30 last year for $5 each.

Hey everyone! Been working all day today and just now getting around to getting on here. Isaac is sitting on the couch next to me eating a hot dog and keeps tell me "I'm not choking mama" I made him sit down while he ate the hot dog instead of running around all over the place and getting choked like he did bout a year ago and scared the crap out of me. I almost never let him have them cuz they are so full of sodium but figured one ever once in a while is ok.
Have not had time to see what everyone else had been doing today. Will prolly have to do that later since I am going to bed soon. I will just have to stay a day behind lol.

Ohhhh! Good idea! Never thought of that. NOW I might try some quail eggs.
I saw them do ostrich eggs on a tv show. They used a dremel to make the holes on each end.

Someone over on the "get your craft on" thread blew quail eggs, clear coated them, then strung them together for Christmas Tree garland .. it was kinda cute!

I will re-iterate .. GENTLY push air into the eggs ... I exploded my first one ..

I really liked what they did with the quail eggs. Made me want to get some quail just so I could use the eggs for decoration! lol

I have been blowing eggs and had one pop so loud it actually made me scream and I don't scare easily. Sounded like a bomb. There was yolk everywhere after that.

Sorry I ran out on you all today! I had to go into work & ended up staying later than normal. Then, on the way home, I stopped at an estate sale on my road. SCORE. I got a Craftsman table saw & a Craftsman bandsaw, two halfway decent sets of sawhorses, and a garden hoe. ALL stuff I needed here! Also got a nice gift for David for Christmas. I told David that the workshop stuff was going to be a big chunk of our CHristmas. Got that stuff pulled in and headed right on over to the thrift shop. They had a workshop table in yesterday and it was still there -- Black & Decker Workmate, like new. So, I got all of it (except for the gift) for about $150. I kind of figure that was a good deal!

One of the main things I'm looking for at estate sales & thrift shops are things for the workshop & garden. So, I was pretty happy to find those. We have the basic handtools, plus the basic jigsaw, drill, electric sander (the handheld type) and router. But, I "really" needed the saws. I am not strong enough to safely use a circle saw. Now I can do projects. Mwahaha.

Of course, after all of this, it'll be a while before I can afford any lumber!
