It has been over a week since anyone has come out of there. I can't add more than 3 at the very most and I wonder about them getting picked on being the newbies and the others having "coop fever" already. Any opinions? Oh and can you have just 1 duck and what would I do with it right now?

I would NOT compromise the happiness and mental well-being of the animals I already own because of a lack of planning on a neighbor's part. Maybe you can offer to help her throw up some insulation for HER animals ..

I know this is old and u prolly already figured out what to do, but if it were me, I would TAKE THEM! lol Can never turn down free chickens!!!

I know this is old and u prolly already figured out what to do, but if it were me, I would TAKE THEM! lol Can never turn down free chickens!!!

Algo, hey you! Great to see you popped in! That post isn't too old. I did decide to take them, we have to finish getting an old coop cleaned out. DH had to go back to work today but hopefully we can get it ready on sunday and get them moved "home". I am soo excited to learn their personalities and a DUCK!! Raymond has been wanting a duck so he will be happy. We have never had one before. Did you see he is driving? He got his permit on wed, I'm scared

So how have you been? How was your Thanks Giving?

haha both my cats sleep near my head and my chihuahua sleeps in my armpit everynight wouldn't have it any other way

I am glad you are going to be able to take the chickens. I would be so sad for you if you couldn't get them. I knew your older hens had stopped laying and I was like, hope these new ones are young! So cool that they are! I wanted to get ducks too but after I found out how messy they are I said forget it. Can't take the messy water thing. Would drive me insane.
I did read that Raymond got his permit!! Whoo Hooo!!

Ok well good for him, not so good for your worrying mama side lol. I can't imagine Isaac being that old. I have no idea what I am going to do when he gets that age. Will need lots of drinks I am sure.

Thanksgiving was pretty good for me and my family. We always have a really big gathering over at my moms and after we are all sick with too much food we usually play cards while the kids run around playing. This year we played dominoes for the first time ever. Was different and fun. Nice change from all the card games we had worn out.
We were going to have a freeze last night so yesterday morning I get a bright idea to go out and pick all out greens so they don't get frozen so now the back of my legs are really sore and when I got to work today, I was told the freeze wasn't hard enough to kill the greens. lol

Have not checked them myself but it would be my luck they are doing just fine.
Got to work tomorrow so need to get to bed now. Hope yall all have a good weekend!
