Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Colton and his dad have always been ones to go to bed early. Colton especially! Until he started football, Friday nights were his worst. He would be asleep by 8! He is getting better, but still needs his sleep. Destiny and I are night owls. We stay up until at least 11 (she is usually later) and never want to get up in the mornings! Even when I had to be at work at 5 am, I still stayed up late.

I am planning on taking pics of the tree when it is decorated, but my children won't let me finish it until after Thanksgiving! Destiny and I got it out and fluffed it up, but no ornaments yet. After this weekend it will be done! I was so excited when I saw them, but upset because I had already bought the pretty green ones (my fave color). Hubby told me to get them and I am going to give the others to my mom!

I am so excited for you for Christmas!! I am lucky to have my family close, so I can't imagine not seeing everyone. We have my in-law's Christmas the Saturday before and go to Mom's on Christmas eve. It is also my step-dad's birthday, so we do double celebration. Up until 2 years ago we always spend Christmas afternoon at his grandma's, but we put that stress out of our lives, so now we actually enjoy Christmas day! My extended family only gets together for Thanksgiving, so that will be this Thursday night. It is the only Thanksgiving we will celebrate. In fact, Colton is going to my mom's on Wednesday to stay the night and Destiny will be at my sister's, so it will be hubby and I alone until we go to Milan for supper. My sister and I have started the tradition of cooking together on Wed afternoon so I will be down there for a while.

Boy....sometimes I wonder why I post anything. There is always someone that is smarter than you. Wow...I didn't know I was so dumb. My parents must be really disapointed. I was just trying to look out for everyone. Slapped on the back of the head once again! Ok..rant over

How is everyone today? No pink cowboy hats this weekend Michelle? It sounds like everything worked out ok anyway. I wish I could go to the show more. Nothing better than sitting with a big bag of popcorn watching the big screen!! Also, I got a big giggle over your "Black and Gold" tree! Be sure and post a pic when you get it up!
Chickenchick...no deer this weekend. Saw a few too far away. Glad you're getting to see all your family for Thanksgiving. DH and I are staying home this year. First time we have spent the holiday by ourselves. This should be interesting!!
NY...we miss you!!

Its nice that you and your sister cook together. The only thing I miss from my first marriage is my sister-in-laws!!

Seriously! My sister and I were never close and don't speak now. My SILs and myself would all get together a few weeks before Christmas and bake all day. We would each choose 3 things (cookies, candy, snacks) and bring the ingredients for that item. Then we would all pitch in and at the end of the day we would go home with 9 different goodies and enough to give as gifts and share with our families. One of them had double ovens and a huge kitchen. It was always so much fun.

Hubby actually offered to but me new ornaments this year but I wanted to use some he bought me a couple of years ago. Next year! Last year we dug high and low through our shed and could not find our tree topper. Yesterday, I uncovered it way back in the corner under the bottom shelf.

We were both thrilled. It has been driving us crazy for a year!

Hubby and I had our first "all alone" Christmas last year. Raymond was with his Dad and Hubbys folks were gone and his sister had a housefull. We enjoyed it. I wouldn't want to do it all the time, but it was nice, peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Hubby made a wonderful seafood dish and we hung out in our PJs all day, drinking wine and watching Christmas movies.

I saw what she is talking about. People can sometimes be brutal on here. Sheesh, charmed was just trying to be helpful! Come back here and let us pick on you instead!

I missed it. Will you PM me so I can check it out too?

I only have one sister-in-law and couldn't give a hoot less if I ever talk to her. Now, I love my sister, but hasn't always been that way. She is almost 7 years older than me and growing up she had to take care of me more than she should have. We went many years not speaking much, but have become pretty close in the last 10 years or so. I can't brag on my cooking skills, but she has even less, so it makes for an interesting day! Mom was impressed last year when we showed up to Thanksgiving with all the goodies!

You found the tree topper! I know that feeling all too well of misplacing stuff. We haven't decided what to use as a topper for this one...any ideas?
