... and raining. And windy.

Talk about a blast of cold dang!!!! that was quick.

How is my texasgal doing today -- anymore on the fence turtle (?)

Ugh .. You know. My friend that died in december was a director that I worked very closely with .. she so helped me deal with having to deal with the post turtle. Her replacement is a jack@ss, to put it mildy, so it is REALLY challenging to be getting it from both ends ..

I'm really struggling with even getting up to come to work in the mornings.. I watched "How the Lottery changed my life" all weekend.. how I would LOVE to be able to walk in one day and say "You know all that stuff I do for you?? Figure it out." .. and walk out .. LOL

But, in the meantime, I do my best for the staff, for the patients, and for the hospital.. *sigh*

We are getting light snow right now and it is already blowing. I had Colton bring us to work just in case it gets bad before we go home. We stayed up last night and made the snow plow guys choc chip cookies and andes mint cookies to snack on for their long nights. I told them they could pick them up when 2 inches are on the ground.

Bad weather brings out the nasty in people!

I hate this for you. but you do have a good attitude about doing your best for the staff, patients and the hospital. that is a big plus for you, they are the ones that matter most.

and if it makes you feel better, i will do this every morning in your honor to post turtle dude

yea why is that?

I get all chipper and talkative when the weather is different or there is excitement going on. i laugh a lot too, it has to be nerves, but the last thing i want to do is make an enemy of my neighbor == they may need my help or the other way around.

I took a call at 7:40 this morning from a guy telling me to have our weatherman go on air and explain why this storm keeps changing. We have been reporting it since Sunday and it is no different out his window than it was then and we are idiots.

I tried to explain to him that the forecast has been pretty much on target, give or take a few inches and that weather is complicated and we just report what the National Weather Service out of Pleasant Hill sends us, but he was just nasty about it. I wanted to say "Sir, I am sorry you are disappointed you didn't wake up to a blizzard this morning. Just go about your business, no one in the state of Missouri reporting on this storm knows what they are talking about and we are sorry! (may your roof fall in from heavy snow)" We don't have a "weatherman". We report what the NWS sends us. Same as what every other radio and TV station is reporting and I am certain the Gov wouldn't declare a state of emergency if it wasn't at least halfway accurate!

I kinda like the adrenaline from a storm coming in. I even announced at 5:57am "Who is excited that the blizzard warning starts in 3 mins??" I also watched out the window and counted flakes as they started falling until there were too many to count. I hope everyone stays safe and warm, but it is kinda neat to watch it take place.

I am a goofball.
