Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

OK, now that I got that out, how have yall all been?
Kelly I know you are going through WAY more than I was when I had my first baby but there were times, even 6 months after I had Isaac, that I would cry like that for "no reason". Like everyone else said, it is good to just cry sometimes. Makes me feel better.

hope they don't make yall wait too much longer to get all the paper work finished.

Michelle what did I miss? Last time I heard, you were not going to get a goat but now I am seeing pics of the most precious baby goat! I want one!

We got 4 inches of snow yesterday morning. It was weird. I woke up at 7 and it was raining but then like someone flipped a switch, it was snowing like a blizzard and we had 4 inches in less than 2 hours. It is sunny out now and 30 but they are saying around 4 more inches tomorrow. Isaac always has fun in it but I slipped and fell once and almost fell a second time so decided to keep myself inside from now on. This snow is really wet and slippery. Sevedo actually had to shovel me a path to the chickens house. It normally is safe to just walk on but since there is a slight hill we were both afraid I would fall.

Going to get back to work on my lil blanket I am trying to get done befor baby gets here but will check back in a lil while.

Awww Kelly. Don't get discouraged! When one door closes, another one opens. Keep looking, there is a job out there that you were meant for! Believe it! Don't let lifes setbacks get you down. Every step we take is to teach us something we will need in the future. I know it's not easy. I find myself falling down and when I try to stand, I fall back down but now it's in horse patooky! Now..have you been searching the paper? Using your contacts? Do you have facebook friends in the same profession? Get the word out you are looking. Somebody is going to know somebody that has a friend that knows of a job for you! You just wait and see!! Plus... I'll pray for you!!

(I just hope that doesn't backfire! Lol!)
Enough witha the pep talk!

I've been searching all the listings, applying everywhere I can, talking to my vet friends, who are keeping their ears open. The problem is I can't just "put the word out" b/c I'm afraid it will get back to my bosses and I will end up without a job at all. The lady before me made the mistake of saying she was thinking of opening her own place, so they just went ahead and replaced her with me (I didn't know any of this at the time), so I'm scared to death of them finding out that I'm looking. I can't NOT have a job. DH has a good job, but I make quite a bit more and we'd have to file bankruptcy if I was out of work. See why I'm so stressed?

ETA: AND they're changing the way we're being paid, so even if I stayed there and worked horrible hours I would go to a % only basis instead of a base salary like I have now. Plus they're wanting me to sign a new 1-yr contract soon and if I don't I imagine I won't have a job for long.

Hubby and I decided Thursday evening that we would rather have another bottle baby if we were to get another goat. We also decided to wait until closer to spring since we are in a deep freeze with snow up to our

right now!

So, Friday I cruise Craigslist just to see what is out there.

Long story short, after some research I decide I think I want a Nigerian Dwarf this time. Low and behold, I find one and it is in a town about 20 mins or so north of us. Upon further investigation into the number, I realize it is someone Des and I have met. So, I call.

I went up that evening while the boys were working on the truck and Des was at work and brought home that beautiful baby boy! This nice farm couple has 2 young daughters very active in 4-H and about a year and a half ago Sierra won grand championship at the state fair with her meat bird. She came down to the station to record a thank you ad to run on the radio. She was 8 at the time and a handful! I mean, this girl has ADD or something and was into everything and chattering a mile a minute. Destiny patiently helped her get it recorded and this fall, she came back with her little sis Hannah (who is just like her) and Des helped them do an ad for 4-H week. When I got up there to see the goat her mom told me "you take this little baby and give him to Destiny and tell her that he is hers. She was so good with Sierra and I told her I would help her out anytime she needed something. I have never forgotten how nice she was with my girls." I pinky swore with the girls Destiny and I would be back after the weather warmed up and the next day Des called Sierra and told her thank you and that she would be up. It was the cutest thing ever!! Now we have goat #4, he is all black with gray ears and around his nose. It is hard to get pics of him since he is so active, but I took some good ones yesterday that I will post when I remember to pick up the camera again!

Morning everyone!!

So far so good! Nothing major to do, it's also payday and my new guests (flood vics so their stay length is unknown) are actually going REALLY well. The female guest and I used to both have the same housemate previously and he was a PIG. I was really nervous since she lived with him once she would be too (by default I guess) but no, she thought he was a pig too! Yay! And they're very helpful and kind and soft spoken - but they don't hide all the time in their room like my last housemate did. They come out and have conversations and laugh and go back to their room and come back out... it's working out REALLY well!

Husband is happy, I am happy, guests are happy, chooks are happy, ducks are happy, geese are happy. I'm even getting 7 eggs a day! (12 layers but 3 are broody and a couple are not daily layers) And I think my Wyandotte is a hen!! Woop.

How is everyone??!

Hi Elizabeth! It's freezing here! It hasn't gotten above 5 degrees F all day! We are under a winter storm warning until tomorrow morning. Looking for a couple of inches more of snow

I must say... I think I would rather have a winter like this instead of it snowing, melting, muddy, snowing, melting, muddy. At least we haven't had to deal with mud this season!
I'm so glad everything is going great for you!!! I hope your housemates leave soon. I have a feeling they are in my room! Lol!
