Well....

Wyatt and I both tested positive for influenza (oh joy) at the doc this morning and I have bronchitis on top of it.

Wyatt was back to a 103.3 fever this morning and I couldn't stop hacking so I took us both in. No wonder we feel like s**t. Now I'm on a Z-pack, tylenol, and cough meds and he's on amoxicillin, tylenol, and ibuprofen. The doc told me not to go around too many people b/c I'm probably contagious. I was like "umm, yeah, I have to work tonight..." The look he gave me was priceless.

Girls! I don't know what to do!

That kid that was building my coop is doing a TERRIBLE job. But like... a whole NEW level of terrible. He's NAILED aluminium to the roof which is plastic and SHADECLOTH? The door is uneven and he's painted the shadecloth white in big splatches because he painted some side-ways built 'nesting shelves' (yes shelves) and then covered them in twisted shadecloth which also got paint splattered on it? The door has a huuuuge gap in it in the wire and I PAID for the wire which ws like $150 because I got the good stuff, y'know, hoping to keep predators out but dude this thing won't even keep chickens IN let alone predators out.

I would post photos but I'm horrified.

It's really really really really ugly and we have a house inspection in like 4 days and I am looking at this thing like, "Holy crap what is it??" because it's nowhere even close to the plans he drew up - it's like something he nailed together willy nilly and painted as he went along (yes he's painting AS he's building!)....

I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth but the second this boy leaves I'm going to tear it down anyway and I can't have this... thing... on my property! Not where I live, the council will be on me!

But like... he's... trying? I think he's trying anyway. Is that trying?

Holy crud should I take pictures???

Edit: and he came home last night and said "Look, I got green glow in the dark paint for the coop!" D:

I try to say something but he doesn't really listen.. he kinda ignores any advice we try. D:

Good grief Elizabeth! This guy doesn't know the first thing about building! OMG! That's too bad. What are you going to do? You could tell him the truth and tell him to stop but risk making a stranger mad that's staying in your house. Be careful whatever you decide to do.
