Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

We had snow Sunday-Monday night. My 6yo was so exited! It was his first snow experience

It melted since and it's been raining hard for the past 3 days. I'm not even trying to figure this Irish weather out. The only thing I know so far is that it almost guaranteed to rain at least once a day.

Overhere the snow is gone. It was a nice day actually with sunshine, but very cold. The forecast is saying some heavy wind and rain, even some new snow. Ah well it's typical dutch weather :). I am now trying to think what to make for dinner, it's just that I am not feeling up to cook today. And I neef to spend some time into the administration, which is so not my cup a tea hahaha.

I spent a few months (including the Winter months) in The Netherlands a few years ago. I stayed in Bussum. I remember the cold and that wind. I've never experienced wind like that! The weather here is much milder than I expected. We had a few really cold days about a week ago with the snow, but overall it's been o.k. Just wet! I love rain, but this is a bit much.

I did the Au Pair thing in my gap year. Always wanted to visit Holland, so that was a good excuse

Ireland is amazing. Beautiful country, lovely people... Scotland's on the list, but first I want to take my DH and son to Amsterdam. Love, love, love that place!

I know Assen, I meant to go there, but didn't get round to it. Amsterdam is lovely. I tried to avoid the tourist attractions and see the "real" city. It's got a nice... atmosphere. I don't know how to describe it. I've been to a few cities in South Africa and other countries and here, of course and Amsterdam is great. I don't normally like cities and avoid them if I can, but I'll go there again.
