Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

West Cork, county not city. Lovely spot and apparently very touristy during the Summer months... Ah well

It's a very nice area. We love driving around and exploring and we found some breathtaking spots, like Mizen point:

Crookhaven, the Priest's Leap and the Sheep's Head Peninsula is some of my favourite drives. I'll never get tired of that scenery! When you come, (not "if", "when", cause you should), drive from Castletownbere up to Kenmare, all along the coast and then back South to Bantry along the backroads. I don't have the words to describe that route.

Wow that's breath taking view!!!!

It's even better in the flesh! The wind was incredible when we went up and I had great difficulty holding on to the camera, never mind holding it still enough to focus and take pics, but it was worth it. It's an amazing spot and the views are worth the few Euros entry fee to go all the way to the point.

Hmm well who knows maybe this year, it depends.. My mother and I also talked about visiting my brother and go to New York...... it's a huge amount of money but ok..... I haven't seen him since 13 years so it's worth the money.

Only problem for Europe is that I can't find a friend to come along, my bf won't go because of the dogs so he stays home. I am more of a nature person while my best friend Anne is more of a city person. She's the only one that would like to see places an can leave home for a week..

Tell your friend the nature here is much nicer than the cities! It took us more than an hour to drive through Cork City on the way down here. It was crazy! We'd sit at a traffic light and the light would change, but the cars won't move. Turned out they were already queuing for the next traffic light

And the roadworks. The Irish love digging up perfectly o.k. pieces of road and stand around discussing the hole with long rows of cars to either side awaiting their turn to go. But apart form that driving round this country is great. Even the pretty major roads are scenic and the minor ones are often single lanes, so you'll have lots of cars pulling over for you so you can go first. And look surprised when you stop, so they can go first. You'll see signs like these ones:

There really are lots of sheep on the roads here. And they are not scared of cars, just people like DH who stop and yell "BAAAA!!!" at them.

Did I mention the roads are narrow?

Brr it's so wet and rainy outside and very cold..... I'm still not a 100% yet after the flew...

So what did you all do?

We hat to replace the central boiler. It happend a week ago that when you took a shower you only had warm water for about 5 min

and then with my hear in full shampoo

bam cold water! Really cold cold water.... so the print chip was broken the repair man said..... the boiler was around 17 yrs so it was time to place a new one. It also meant a week improvise washing as in the old days. But yes yes, yesterday morning they replaced it and ahhhhh I was so happy to take a normal shower!!

Then I went to my BFF to do some baking. Lemon tons and a pine nuts honey pie ( both recommended).

Went to a Japanese restaurant and came home late

. But sometimes a girl needs some girl talk time with friends :). This morning some sleeping in hmmm lovely, then took the puppy dog ( she 's 9 months already) for a bike ride and now it's dark and dinner time. Man time flies on a day... It's an early night for me that's for sure.

The weather's been all over the place lately. It rained quite heavily for a few days, it's more windy than usual and I saw a few stray snow flakes early this morning. Really small ones though. I don't know if it's going to get worse than that, but it may... The locals still say it never snows here, "but it did 2 years ago" LOL And we had a good snowfall about 3 weeks ago too.

Our landlord just stopped by to have another look at our range. It's been giving us problems on and off and the repairman didn't get it sorted last time he came. It's leaking fumes and it's been making me sick

Hopefully we'll get it sorted soon, as the central heating runs off it, so it's a choice between being cold and being sick and I like neither!
