for being caught up!! It is slow around here too. Pretty much everyone has in their advertising through Christmas. I just got out of a sales meeting, so hopefully it will be quiet the rest of the day and I can sit here and watch it rain!

Well I shoveled out the coop and we think we found the problem. The floor was wet under there. Hubby did some research online and the conclusion he came to was he forgot to put any kind of a moisture barrier in the floor. Did any of you do that? So guess what our spring project will be

Oh well my chickens are worth it! Did I tell you they are finally starting to lay!!!!!!!

I actuallly got 8 a couple days ago and 5 yesterday. I am just thrilled, it is about darn time!!

I think we also need to throw the Saint Bernard in, it may take more than the horse to pull me home!

My purty hair is not in the Christmas pics. They are the ones the kids had taken together Friday. I will try to figure out how to get them on the computer so I can post them.

Our coop is a wooden floor with with 2X4s underneath and we just painted it and haven't had any problems. We use straw as bedding and may occasionally throw in some chips. When we have meaties we definitely use the chips in place of straw.

That they are laying. Mine are still on vacation.

ETA: I guess I made Thunder mad by washing all his blankets last night. He paced when I put them in the wash and proceeded to sleep in the living room last night instead of coming to the bedroom with me. He also wouldn't acknowledge me this morning when I tried to put him out to potty, but jumped right up for Destiny.

It's raining here too. I had to wear my muck boots to town! Hey Michelle! I heard you knocking but you didnt give me time to get out of bed! Didn't you see me running down the road after you on the back of a clydesdale??? And she has a bony back too! All for pizza! See what we go through for a little homemade pizza, chickenchick?!!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all meet up sometime? That would be great! (but I would definitely leave the st. bernard behind, she eats too much and would want to ride in the front seat!)

we will get together someday-we just need to make it a goal! Like set a date for a year from now and start our "NY pot" afterall--I have that awesome fully completed awesome cabin! LOL... My savings pot will go towards all the food and alcohol and Im sure with us that will cost more than gas money hahaha

So, chickenchick can fly into KCI and we can go from there! I will need a "fund" for a different vehicle or will have to get over my fear of flying to get to NY! I am not sure which would happen first!
