Good Morning Peeps! I think I am back for good this time!!

chickenchick--I was so anxious to get to work this morning to see the pics of your bathroom! They showed up on my phone, but were so tiny I couldn't see the full details. It is beautiful!!

It is snowing right down here! We have a little over 2 inches and expecting about that much more. Charmed should be getting harder than we are according to the news reports. Therefore, I was up and at 'em at 5:30 this morning to answer the phones. We only had 7 school cancellations, but a couple dozen calls starting with "I don't have a radio, can you tell me if school is closed today?" What people don't understand is that we have over 30 schools on our list and I am not clear on which school you are asking about.

I think I mostly rested up over the weekend. Watched the Super Bowl last night, but I don't want to even talk about it. I am going to try to go back and catch up with this thread when I have time.

I missed you all!!


P.S It has taken me over 2 hours just to get this much typed. Welcome to Monday!!

NY--Hope you are feeling better by now!

chickenchick--Any update on Nate? I have been praying for him daily! Luke finally got to go home on Saturday. He will be out of school until the middle of March, so hopefully by then he will be good to go. Tonna's husband is taking her father in law home today. I just hope the roads are okay for them to get back safely. Her sister in law has not gotten good reports lately. The leukemia cells are still there, but they are going to move up the transplant date and hope for the best. I think it may actually be today, but I haven't checked with Tonna to see if it is still going to happen.

charmed--Hurry back! We miss you!!

Good morning all!

Michelle it is wonderful to have you back! Now where is Charmed? Thank you for the compliments on the bathroom. I love it and will be so happy when the shelves in the corner are done.

Nathans step-mom sends a thank you and hugs to our Mad chicken lady prayer chain! She is flying home today. The pancake breakfast benefit had a wonderful turn out. I haven't heard what the total of $ or people was yet. Nathan is having terrible tingling in his arms and legs. That is a GOOD sign but very uncomfortable. He had a little trouble once he was off the respirator and had to be back on it for a short time. He got to wear something besides a hospital gown AND got to sit up in bed yesterday to watch the game

I am so glad to hear Luke is home now. I hope he can fight the urge to be a a typical teen and jump right back out of bed! You might need to threaten him that if he doesn't get some rest the Mad chicken ladies might be after him!

Good Morning Everybody! I have missed you guys! The internet went down and I couldn't do anything about it til my sis got home!

Great color in the bathroom, chickenchick! I would love to put some color in my house. My DH let me paint yellow in the kitchen but that was it! Everything else it white!

How dull is that?!!

I have some catch up reading to do! It's good to be back!!

My power went out, YES AGAIN

It is hectic around here this morning. All the schools that didn't call off (only 7 did) are now calling at the same time to let out early. Colton says the roads are really slick out there. He is coming by in a little bit to clean off the sidewalk for me at work. He has been wonderful, doing John's chores for him and whatever he can to help.

As far as the boss, John. He is doing well, but won't be back for a couple weeks. We seem to be having a power struggle around here and some have decided it is already getting old and aren't pulling together to cover until he gets back. I am about at my wit's end here! I would kill them all, but right now I am focusing on getting things done and making sure nothing stresses him out more than it should. This is a long coming deserved break for John (although I would have rather he took it without the whole hospital bit) and he has always been one to do most everything himself instead of delegating. I have decided I work with a bunch of spoiled rotten brats. Rant over! (for now)

charmed--Glad to see you back!! How's the weather down your way? We have huge flakes falling right now!

Good morning everyone!
Woke up to an unexpected snow this morning but most of it has melted by now. My Dh made a really big snow pyrimid(SP) from the last snow and it is the only thing left. Kind of funny how everywhere I went Saturday on my route there was no snow but when I got home there was the big pile in the front yard.

It has a nice new layer of fresh snow on it now.

Michelle -Thanks for the good vibes. Think I will candle soon. I found someone on here that offered to send free eggs of her half EE and half Americanas if I pay the shipping. They should be here by the 18th-19th and I have to try and make room for them.
Sorry the Super Bowl didn't go the right way for ya. I didn't even know who won till this morning. Never care to watch it.
Got the funny commercials on yahoo this morning, some of them were funny.

We watched a movie last night instead. Really enjoyed it.

We are still getting snow. It hasn't let up much. The driven roads are just wet, side ones are snow packed. But the temp is supposed to drop drastically this afternoon, so all the wet will probably be ice by morning. I drove to work this morning and it wasn't bad, but it has gotten worse. Usually hubby drives me, but I got brave after my two trips to the city last week!

We have an incubator and have been resisting the urge to hatch this early, but you guys are tempting me so bad!! It is best I wait until at least late March to even set any. So, until, I will live it through all you guys!!
