I took these a couple of days ago when we had really thick fog and frost. This is a close up of the gate to my chicken run. The gate and run are made from hardware cloth, but this makes it look like a solid sheet!

This the view of the yard from the front step. The frost makes it look sort of pretty, in a redneck sort of way!!

The swing was my Grandmothers. Also every redneck family has a fire pit in the front yard , right??!

Good Morning! Just drove through a blizzard to get here. It was fine at the farm, just very cold. Got 10 miles down the road and it was a snowing and a blowing! Boy I'm sick of winter! Good news is DD should be on a plane back to the good old US of A! Haven't seen her since the last of Sept. Can't wait til she gets home! She has to debrief and I won't get to see her until the weekend.

Michelle...If I have to saddle up Betsy and ride all the way to you in this fridged weather, I'm kicking some *^&%* and taking names later!

My power came back on as I was on the phone with the power company. Then at 2 this morning it went back out. Poor hubby sleeps with a CPAP machine. So when the power goes off he wakes up thinking I am smothering him with a pillow!

Did you see the frost pictures I posted? It has built up for the last week. It hasn't been warm enough to melt it at all. I took a few more pics this morning. I will try to get them on soon. Anyway, there are power lines down all over the area due to the frost beings so thick and heavy on them. Hubby just called and said there are oil leases he can't get to because there are power lines over the road this morning.

charmed--How much snow have you guys gotten? We ended up with about 6 inches. It was a very light snow this morning, but now I think it is just blowing and very, very cold. Both Jerry and Tom had dead batteries yesterday when they left here, so I just got in from helping them get started again. I firmly believe I almost froze my a@@ off out there. It is actually numb and tingly!!

I am so glad your daughter is getting back!! I can't imagine going that long without seeing her!

Things aren't any better around here, but I am trying to just stay at my desk and do my work. I am trying to not to just totally lose it. I have decided we are going out for lunch today and I am having something big and chocolate!! Hey! I have to deal with it in some way!!

I saw your pictures! I can't imagine the power going out with it as cold as it is. You guys are really doing a "little house on the prairie" thing out there, aren't you!! I kept my peeps locked up today cause it was soooo cold. I can't wait for spring!!
