Thanks I am doing a lot better. A little swollen but took my last pain pill last night befor bed and have not needed one since. It still hurts a little but not enough to take another of the loratabs. Think thats what they are called.

Hey everyone!!! I am extra excited today!!!

I got another shipment of eggs in the mail today and not a single one of them were broken!!!

They are from BYC member KatyTheChickenLady. 2 of the eggs are from full Americanas and the other 10 are from the full Americana roo with EE hens. They are so pretty!!!

Tomorrow night I will be taking my first batch of eggs out of the bator and putting them into the brooder just in time to make room for my new eggs I got to day!!!

Ok if this post dose not get yall excited and make yall want to hatch eggs nothing will.

I was just messing with ya about the mint. I have not noticed anything my hens eating ever change the taste of their eggs. It is a good thing too cuz ya never know what those girls will eat.

I was selling alot about a month ago and have slowly stopped to take a breather and hatch some for me..Im on batch #3...I sold this last batch because my bator is full:-( I had to do something to make up the $ I spend on their food and electric bills-ouch DH was getting a little angry but now he kind of accepts it watching the eggs go out the door for eating and shipping. Hey speaking of geese have you seen the auction for Sebbie geese eggs--OMG I want them! DH said no way but man those are beautiful!!!! I want a turkey tooo....LOL

ReallY? I have purposely not fed the girls anything with onions and garlic!!! dang it--do they keep away fleas like it does in dogs LOL?

All this talk about hatching and brooding has me exited.


My neighbor put in 150 eggs into his bator and said I could have up to 10 but I said no way only 3 for me. So even though they are not my eggs in there I can't wait to get my 3 fatties so I can raise them and see them grow.

Sonew: I got into mountain biking right after college and have not looked back since. Before winter came I was doing 45 mile round trips twice a week. As the weather heats up and the days last longer the distance increases. I do it because it is fun. I have many friends who have told me they want to get into it for the exercise but I find that if they are doing it as a chore to loose weight they tire themselves out and end up giving it up soon after. I do it for fun and accept the health benefits that come along with it. My favorite place to ride is along the lake over in my neck of the woods. Beautiful scenery and riding along the water is just delightful. Next time I go I will take some pics.
