I have been thinking about Nathan and intended to ask yesterday. As a matter of fact, I almost texted you last night to have you give us an update today. I'm with Charmed, they are young and bounce back better than the rest of us, he may be going full speed before we know it. If not, we know there is a grander plan for him!

Brandi is still hanging in there. She has been really sick but tests show that she is doing as well as expected. They have her blood sugar more controlled and she is back in her regular room. It is just a big wait and see game.

I am glad to hear Brandi is still fighting! I pray things will start to improve soon for her. Thanks for the prayers for Nathan. I know what it is like to be told your son may never walk again. I will encourage his Mom by telling her I was told that too. Raymond came home in a wheel chair and could not toilet or bathe himself. He was determined though and Nathan has a great attitude and that is 95% of the battle.

I need to add yet another name to our prayer list. I know my friends here will not turn this into anything. My hope is that any "visitors" will please keep in mind this is my friend.

I got an email from my friend D this morning. Her 24 year old son has been accused of beating his GF 3 year old (almost)) to death. This an excerpt from her email.

the little boy has a skull fracture...bleeding on his brain...kidney and liver damage...and damage to his spleen....in intensive care and they don't know if he will make it

She is beside herself as any Mom would be. She is not making any excuses and is really unsure how to feel. She is very concerned about the child. Please pray for her. I could not imagine how I would feel if it were my son in this place. She is handling it ok. She has called in to work and is hiding out for now. This happened in another state so no one here knows. But as he has appeared on her hometown news the phone calls are rolling in.

Thank you for your understanding. I believe it probably is the story you just read. Sioux Falls? She mentioned his prior behavior to me. She has been unable to see her grand kids becasue she has tried to talk to him about his behaviour. The worst part, the girlfriend is pregnant right now.

My heart is just breaking for her right now, she is at home sobbing and wondering where she went wrong.

You are always so sweet

I feel lucky to have you as a friend as well. I know sometimes you think you are "nosey" but it lets me know you think about me. That means a lot to me. Thank you for praying for them they need it. I just feel sick for her, she is a very quiet and kind woman. This is just tearing her apart.

Hey I am back!! My puter is FULL of viruses and other spywear stuff that I am going to get fixed tomorrow at my brothers house. That is why I have been MIA for almost a week and also I have been working alot more. The guy I sub for at the post office went on a mini vacation.
I have spent the past hour or so catching up on what everyone had to say. Wish I could remember all the things I wanted to comment on.

The 4 fuzzy butts I kept from my hatch are growing like weeds and still cute but not so sweet. I just refilled their feeder since it had been empty for only about an hour and one of the EEs pecked the crap out of my hand!

I got a new bator. I found out about it just by talking at work about the eggs I had bought from BYC members and the guy that delivers my mail asked me what I was doing getting people to ship me eggs and I was like duh! lol to hatch them of course! Anyway, he used to raise ostriches and said he still had his bator and I could buy it for $100. It is a big cabinet kind. I just have the styerphome LG ones and always wanted a bigger one but they are so expensive. I went out that afternoon after work and got it. I want to take pics. later and let everyone see it and maybe NY can tell me if she has ever seen one like it.
The weather her has been really nice the past few days too. It actually got hot today and I was wearing shorts! I think it was 70 but as soon as the sun was gone it got COLD! I have a slight sun burn on my right arm too.
We went to a big flea market yesterday and walked for 2 hours. I was sooooo tired by the time we got home. Got 5 fruit trees.

Speaking of tires and car repairs... I just had to get breaks, roters, and oil changed and one of my tires is showing wire. I am going to call tomorrow about getting an allignment and I know that is going to be expensive!

Chickenchick I just got caught up AGAIN and read about your friend and her son. That is really sad for everyone involved and I really don't know what to say other than I am sorry for your friend and I can't even imagine how hard it is for her right now.
