Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

I've often wondered about the effect of a child's crime on the parents .. especially a violent crime.. .. very sad. If this is the story I just read, then he does have a prior criminal history,in another state .. very sad for mom .. she's in my thoughts today.

Thank you for your understanding. I believe it probably is the story you just read. Sioux Falls? She mentioned his prior behavior to me. She has been unable to see her grand kids becasue she has tried to talk to him about his behaviour. The worst part, the girlfriend is pregnant right now.

My heart is just breaking for her right now, she is at home sobbing and wondering where she went wrong.

Bless her heart .. yeah, that is the story. And a video with him all smiles .. that has to be sooooo conflicting for her.. I feel so bad for her..

Prayers sent immediately! I feel so bad for D. I do not know the history of her son, but just assuming he did do it, I hope she is not blaming herself or anyone else is blaming her. We all know we can raise our children the "right" way, but it is up to them as adults to follow through what we have taught them. If he didn't do it, I hope people give this a chance to be investigated before pointing fingers. Even if he as had "priors" that doesn't mean he is guilty for this particular incident. Right now, we need to send the strongest, loudest prayer we can for that little boy. That is who everyone should be focusing on at this point! I also send out hugs, prayers and strength for your friend to get through this. There is a lady here in town, public administrator for the county to be exact, that her son was sent to prison for child porn on his step children. I know how he was raised and I can't imagine everything his mom went through with that ordeal. It is hard on everyone involved. Tell D she has new friends who are pulling for her and praying that everything will be okay. Thank you Tanya for being a wonderful friend to her. That is what she needs, friendship, not judgement.

Now, excuse me while I step off my soapbox!

Welcome back! Been wondering about you! Lucky you for falling into that bator! There will be no stopping you now! But, it sounds like you need to get a sturdy pair of gloves to feel the little devils! I remember that when we had babies last spring, you would think they were always starving to death! Sprinkle a little bit of dried oatmeal in the brooder and see what they do. Just be sure to keep your fingers back!

Thank you for that, all of it. I wish everyone else could think like you do and not be judgmental. Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers. You are always there for me and I am very grateful. After she gets some rest she is going to call and I will let her know she has friends and support from people she doesn't even know.

This comes from many years experience and it doesn't hurt to have a sister as a public defender to listen to all the time!

Now, having said that, let me add that if her son is guilty, I will not go into it on a family board what I think should be done to him! (the rest of you would like to say it too, so I will do it for us) But, like I said, it is not her fault at all and certainly not the child's. He also has not been convicted. People need to learn to separate the issues. There are 2 moms with broken hearts over their little boys. Different reasons, but not any easier on either one of them.

Exactly! You always see the sympathy for the victiims family, but the perps families have a really tough time, and many times no support from friends or the community. Please do let her know that she has people lifting her up in prayer and thinking about her!

Oh, and

again .. everyone!

On an unrelated note, since I have nothing else to complain about, I would like to throw out today's pet peeve. Normally I am very proud of my hicktown/redneck raising, but this has been bothering me for quite some time. We have a birthday/anniversary show that people call in everyone morning to send out their wishes. I normally don't tune in, and after I did this morning, I remember why. More people call in and "warsh" or "wush" their family and friends a happy birthday or anniversary than they "wish". Thank you for letting me get that off my chest. I would also like to add that our state is Missouri, not Missoura. (My ULTIMATE pet peeve in word pronunciation) Which brings me to one more point. Tanya. Is that as in tan-ya or ton-ya?
