Rocky was feeling pretty yucky yesterday when I got him home. He is feeling better today and has much better breath now!

I think I will call the assessors office and tell them about it and then go over later or tomorrow AFTER is has been corrected to pay. After all, it IS all the way across the street! I could probably step out the door and yell it over to them, but it probably wouldn't be good business. I think we got the insurance done except for the printing of the cards even though we had the wrong VIN number for my truck. Thank goodness Tonna is wonderful, had it insured with the previous owner and just took it out of his file. That saved a trip home to get it!

on the keets doing well! I remember when ours were still very small in the brooder it was a nice day and Des and I decided to take them out to the newly built chicken coop pen to let them run around. This was before the chickens even moved in and before we had a top on it. Well, yes they can fly! They stood around scared to death for what seemed like forever so we decided to take them back in when suddenly one flew right over the 5 foot fence! They weren't over a few weeks old. The cat caught it for me before I could get out of the pen to get it. No harm, he turned it over to me and back to the house they went. That was when they discovered their wings and started getting out of the brooder too. We had it topped with welded wire and they would go between the wires. We had to add screen until they got bigger! Thank you! Now I remember why we haven't added to the flock!!

I know he is right but I DO not have to be happy about it. I am choosing to pout and can't stop thinking about her. I took her to our vet yesterday. The receptionist there runs a no kill shelter called Bright Eyes and she agreed to take her in. She needs a surgery on her eye and they said they will call me to let me know how she is when they get a chance to do it. Thanks for asking though. Oh and she said they decided to keep the name I had given her, Honey.

Dang husbands with common sense anyway!! I "let" my husband talk me out of getting a rabbit last night. I was telling him Orscheln's has them out and how cute they were and he was like no, no and no! I said but honey they are really really cute and fluffy and tiny and the hutches are also on sale. Again I got a firm no! He thinks he laid the law down, but I had no intentions anyway. We have cute little Henry who doesn't need to share attention with anyone else! Besides, I saw them Sunday, doesn't he know it would have done been at our house by now if I had been serious?

I have spring fever really badly! it is 78 degrees and I have my door open to enjoy the gorgeous day!! I am ready to jump in the car and crank up the music with the windows down!! Then what?

Sorry you can't enjoy the weather with us! Just as I was daydreaming about freedom I got a big order in and then realized it is the last day of the month and I had to get my weather calendars done.

I started them way back this morning and then didn't give them another thought until now. I did get the Assessor's office called in between times and got that taken care of. All I have to do is go in tomorrow and pay. We can't take the truck until next week, but we are going to go ahead and license it tomorrow. He said with the spare we should be able to drive it around some, just not too far before we get them changed. So, by tomorrow night, I may get to take my truck for a spin!
