I am great today. Getting ready to mow the yard since it's not going to be 111 degrees today! Lol! Why did you have such a bad night?
Well, I will try to give the shortened version. Got home at midnight. Back up soon after with Thunder barking. Look outside to see the fox visiting again. Scare it away. Back to bed. Get settled in again, Thunder barks. I get up a second time, he is standing in my driveway, the cats gathered around like it is a long lost friend. It then goes over nose to nose with the goats (like friends) and proceeds to the guineas. I yell at it again (I have to get a gun!) and it goes across the road and stops. I put on my shoes, come back, he is back also. I get a bright idea to let Thunder out to take care of business. (hubby hasn't regained consciousness yet). Thunder puts his nose to the ground and away he goes. Hubby comes out, we wait...No Thunder, no noise, no nothing. Hubby gets in van to find him, finally does, loads him up, brings him home and Yep, he won't get out! I tried the bribe thing then went for the muzzle. How do you get a muzzle on a dog that is trying to bite your arm off if you get close? We finally take him for a ride, heat him out of the back so he will get on my lap and stick his head out my window. I slip on the muzzle, we hurry home and I drag his grouchy butt to the house.
It was about 1:45 when we crawled back into the bed. Good news is, if the fox did return, it didn't do any damage nor did it wake me up!
Good grief! It sounds like Thunder is running things over there! Lol! Well, glad he got a ride! I went over to Nat's other thread and got snarky. Lol! Maybe I can shame her into visiting us every now and then.

I went over there to make sure you stayed out of trouble but I was too late!

There are many adventures with Thunder, but to put it in a nutshell. He is cranky old beagle that I adopted in a strange way last year (a story in itself). He has been a good friend to me, but he has issues at times I have to deal with. A few are: I can't let him out without a tie or he is gone and he loves car rides. So much so, if he can get in a vehicle and doesn't get an "appropriate" ride, he won't get out! Last fall he spent the night in my van and we had a heck of a time getting him out then too.
