Wow, that had to be tough. Finances is one of the reasons that we are staying where we are. We can not afford rent on one place while saving the 5 grand for the house. I have only a grand saved so far as it seems something always comes up, broken care, kids need a dr, etc.. I get above a grand and boom something happens and whiddles it back down to a grand. Ill get there though I hope. I use the coffee maker to make the hot water, it makes it so hot that I can get 2 gallons of comfortable warm water when adding cold water to the hot, from one kettle of water. Does that make sense?
We are in a camper, not a trailer a camper, that says it sleeps 6 but I do not see it. 5 at the most I would say. I cook in the nurker (which I hate) and on the electric grittle. Lots of chicken and pork chops.. Hardly any flavor, bbq sause always. I can not wait to have a kitchen and beable to make my breads from scratch and bake until my heart is content!!!
We were living in a cab-over camper when I got pg with my first DD. You know, a camper that normall sits in the bed of a truck. I slept in the "top" and he slept where the table was (when it wasn't a bed). Makes ya wonder how we got pg at all, huh?
We had a gas stove in there and would roast weenies over the stove .. and warm up canned goods in the cans! Also, he DID plumb a toilet in a shed that was adjacent to the camper. I can remember peeing in that toilet when the water in the bowl was FROZEN ... yow!! THAT is a cold toilet seat! LOL.
Not the most stellar moment in my life (and his lack of ambition was only ONE of the reasons for the end of our marriage than 10 years later!)
Yeah our plumbing situation is not much better. But hey it could be worse I suppose at least this way.. hopefully before the holidays, I will have a house that I can call my own. And paint the rooms whatever color I want and hang pictures till my heart is content, without worring about the holes I am putting in a rented wall!!
