welcome danigirl3 and Backswampgirl! I've heard of shows being watched off the internet but I never have Im sure my 13 yr old would know how!! Ill have to buy and extra large package of dippies and have lots of hens toting them around that way when we stumble all over looking for the cabin there will always be another yuneling walking around to grab!!! LOL

http://www.hulu.com/tv This is a link my co-worker gave me to watch shows online. I have never tried it, but he says he does all the time.
Des and I are the only ones who watch American Idol in our house, the boys retreat to the garage! We absolutely love David Cook! (and I am a country music girl)

I have been spending the morning researching recipes to make more homemade stuff like dish soap, cleaners, etc. I would like to make some of this stuff and stock up for the winter. I also want to get my food supply built up. I need to be more self sufficient! Save money for the important things like pets, road trips, yuengling, things like that.

Sirens are going off like crazy, must be a huge fire right outside of town.

That's right, I put my priorities in order! My printer went psycho on me, so I had to give it a time out and then I am going to print some more recipes for our Wal-Mart trip tonight. Tonna tripped over a ladder last night and almost ripped one of her toes off, so it might be a little tricky shopping tonight!

Just put her in the little electric cart and let her buzz around. Better yet, you could push her in the little kiddie car carts and she could honk the horn!!

I never thought about the wheelchairs and stuff! I will have to suggest that!! In the past, she has been known to be a little "stuffy" but I am changing all that. I think she is actually starting to have some fun being around me. (not to toot my own horn or anything). I wonder if she would go for that...

You girls are so sweet.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your heartfelt PMs.

We buried Pepsi next to his sister this afternoon.

I promise I will read the last couple of pages and catch up with you all tonight or in the morning. I need to get a few things done but I wanted to thank you all first.

Okay, so Tonna wouldn't let me put her in a cart last night! But she was a trooper, slow, but she went everywhere I did and wouldn't let me help. I'll bet she slept good last night with her foot propped high in the air!!

So, this is how my morning started....I get up, put on my brand new Trenton Bulldog zip up, potty Thunder, etc, actually heading out the door to be on time for work this morning. As we are getting in the van, Destiny looks over and says, "Do you know we have chickens loose?" I look over and see 2 at the corner of our driveway. Call hubby to tell him, walk around the side of the house and about 2 dozen are flocked around the outside of the pen trying to get back in. Hubby had to come home from work so we could do some chicken wrangling!

Unfortunately, we have no idea how they got out, so we had no way to fix the problem. We all 3 walked the run and didn't see any sign of a weak fence. There was one place they kept going back to which I thought it would be around there, but nothing. Both doors were closed, so it wasn't that. So,

It was a nice refreshing way to start the day and I think we got out of there will minimal dirt on our new shirts. Now, when we get home from our hour and a half trip for football tonight and we have to do it again, it should be interesting! At least it isn't Monday!!

thechickenchick--We all have pets and feel your pain. They truly do become family members!

Good morning all.

Wow Michelle what a way to start the day. I hope you find their escape route soon! Look for a tiny spoon and a tunnel, maybe a loose floor board where they covered up the tunnel!!

My morning had a small glitch but not near as exciting as yours!

DS has been driving to the bus stop the past few days. We are still pretty nervous for him as he is driving one handed.
roll.png
Well as teens usually are he was running late. We watch for the dust cloud to see if the bus is coming or not. Well there was no dust cloud so he says no worries Mom! He goes out the door and I am spying on him to make sure he puts his seat belt on.

Pretty soon he gets out of the car and comes in. It won't start. No idea why. So I tell him, jump in the pickup and I will take you. Of course I am in my nightie so I grab my robe, hair uncombed, makeup smeared, just radiating beauty I was!! So we jumped in, and raced to the bus stop. By now we can see the "cloud" . We actually didn't even get turned into the approach. So we are stopped in the middle of the road. He gets on the bus, the driver smiles and waves and you know he is thinking boy you look great this morning Tanya!

So I get turned around and head home, I pass our local oilfield guy, then another oilfield guy, then a Cenex truck is headed towards me! You see my DH works for Cenex they haul oil from the fields by our house. ALL of these men know our pickup so they knew it was Kenny's wife in her robe looking oh so perfect!! The Cenex driver they call Duey just smiled and waved!

I finally get home after running into all of these people in a matter of a mile! I jump into DS car to see why it wouldn't start. Turns out when he parked it yesterday he didn't put it in park, it was in reverse!!

I can picture it. I have done it before.

What we won't do for our children! But seriously, what is it with young boys just learning to drive that they can't put the dang car in park?
barnie.gif
Two boys in Colton's class has done that and gotten ran over. One of them was really lucky, the second one Colton and Luke had to lift the truck and pull him out. He is now on crutches and awaiting surgery. Girls have all the emotions as teenagers and the boys just worry a person to death. To do over again, I think I would have been better off with goat kids!
