You are welcome to come peel apples for me! I love apple pie & cobbler but HATE peeling apples and despise canned apple pie filling...

My MIL was going to sell her Pampered Chef apple peeler/corer at our garage sale. Brand new in the box. I snatched it right up. I used it on bushels of apples last year. Works wonderful!

Fried Green Beans or Hominy

Fry 1/2 pd bacon til crisp; set aside.

In bacon grease, get 1 chopped onion and 2 cloves garlic started cooking.
I sometimes add a shake or 2 or crushed red pepper.
Add 2-3 cans or either green beans or hominy, drained.
I fry my hominy longer than the green beans but know either dish is done when the onions/garlic are cooked and everything is heated through. We like ours cooked alittle longer sometimes.
(Sometimes I add sliced water chestnuts to the green beans for a crunch or sometimes I add a can of pieces and stems mushrooms to the green beans)
Salt and pepper to taste.

Right before serving, crumble bacon on top! Yummy!

Still looking for potato soup recipe.....

I freeze any left overs. They are a great quick meal, just pop them in the micorwave for a fast snack or lunch.

Send cookies! We'll finish them off. They have fewer calories if someone else eats them.

Whew. Just realized that some of the things I thought I needed to do for tonight, I already did. HA HA. And, some of the others, don't need to be done til tomorrow. I was getting my schedule mixed up, ROFL. Still a ton to do, but a little less than I thought, and a few hours of extra time.
