Good Morning!
NY--I don't blame you at all for the grounding and I don't think it is considered "strict". Kids these days really don't even know discipline these days, so I commend you for not wanting to raise a "hoodlum". I feel I am more than fair to both my children, but you cross the line and watch out! The phone thing irritates me too, I finally broke both my children of that and they now know why they have them and that I can take them away at any time.
thechickenchick--I am also crazy for wanting those old snows back, but they are sooo pretty! I usually don't stock much extra for winter either, but for some reason this year, I feel like I should. So, I had hubby put an extra set of shelves in the garage for cans and we have a deep freezer we didn't have last year. We lose our power frequently too, so I made sure we have the smaller propane tanks full for the grill and turkey fryer and we also have a camp stove. I don't want to go without my food!
I also have extra food stored at the station in case I get stuck here. (just haven't figured out how to cook if there is no electricity) but I have plenty of snacks!
charmed--I tried to send you a pm just to check out my phone. Let me know if you got it. And, I am a terrible mom. Colton came home last night and I asked about his hand and he looked at me like I lost my ever lovin mind! Apparently he is over the hand injury we discussed on Monday and hurt his foot Tuesday. "Didn't I tell you it was my foot?" "no, son. you just said you hoped you wouldn't have to go for an x-ray." I did look back through my texts and he didn't specify, but I guess he had this crazy idea his dad would have passed the info on to me!
