Good job Kelly!

Just finished checking on my lil' babies. Tried candling the remaining eggs tonight -- I think they are all clear & undeveloped but can't be positive. Will give them another day or two then I think it's eggtopsy time -- outside, on a windy day, just in case.

Night, all!

Morning everyone!

Spent all day yesterday out of the house. First half was no fun with appointments but second was great with the big craft sale up by Realfoot Lake. Me and my mom went together and hit lots of yardsales along the way. Bought more at those than at the craft fair but got lots of really good ideas! lol
Going to work now, will check back in later.

Good morning everyone!

Algo that sounds like a wonderful day, at least the part with your Mom.

Roz, have you ever had one explode in the incubator? I haven't yet, but I have heard it is pretty yucky!

Nat I am excited for you! This is a big day you have been looking forward to for a long time

Nope. Quail eggs tend to dry up, not explode. That's why I know a couple of them are no good -- too light.

If these were chicken eggs, I'd be candling them like the devil was on my tail to avoid having an eggsplosion...

OK this recipe is not as good as the Zucchini bread recipe Charmed gave me

However it takes it from 9 points to 3. Kenny is used to taking banana, apple or zuch bread in his lunch every day. So I swore I owuld try to find one "sort" of good for him. I was actually impressed with this bread. It is really moist and I thought it was great without any spread. The slices are generous enough that I sliced mine in half and toasted it for breakfast. I substituted Splenda for the sugar. Also I didn't have store apple sauce so I made my own by boiling apples with a little water and adding a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg. I am going to try to use the same principle in banana bread next.

So, went to the VA State Fair yesterday.. Had a ton of fun! But they didn't have Silkies... I'm now looking for a local private breeder... I'm set on them now

Also had some Fried Oreo's, Funnel Cake.. and DB and DD had a donut cut in half with a burger inbetween.. Not as bad as it sounds..

I need to go...
